Maybe so, but what a honking debut. Booked for a very clumsy challenge, had one shot that was absolutely wild. He would've been relieved to get subbed.

Strange how 2 pics show flooding, yet the pic of hole that I assume is claimed to be caused by the flooding is bone dry....

Whilst Raith have done well so far in completing for top spot with Dundee Utd, I expect the latter to win the league with. Game or 2 to spare. Yes, Utd have a questionable manager, but their playing squad, and likely squad additions this month, should see them through. Rovers have done well with swinging results in their favour in the last 10 mins quite a fee times this season. But that's not exactly an approach that can be sustained IMO, as proven when Airdrie beat them for the 2nd time on Saturday. Murray's tactics are there to be nullified and more teams will suss them out sooner rather than later. As for Airdrie, I'm just enjoying the journey. It's been superb so far and as muvh as we could go on a bad run at some point, I also know we are capable of even better. All in all though, I'm loving it so far!

Murrayball nullified by a McCabe masterclass today. Comfortable winners and should have been by more. Only one team winning that game today. The 4 sub panic move was classic Murray and taking Easton off, your only real threat, was lovely to see.

Give me that any day over an outdated manager saying he's aiming to avoid relegation.

Usually it's former Airdrie players scoring against us so pleasing for it to be a reverse today with a former Morton player scoring for us. And what a hit! Ran Morton back line ragged at times. Solid if not amazing performance. But the job is down, an away win secured. Happy days!

We will play way better in games and lose. But that's what it's all about. Winning ugly too. Great fight from the team to dig in deep and get another good result and another clean sheet. Magic.

A quick review and reflection of the season so far. Given how long we'd been stuck in League One, it's simply been a joy to be back in the Championship, competing against a better standard of opponent and showing that we can raise our game to the next level. Rhys sticking to the same mantra that served us so well last season, playing football as it should be played. Patient in its build up, keeping possession making the other team work to try and win the ball back, leading to some lovely moves and excellent team goals. Gal's on Saturday being the latest in a long line of nice team goals we've scored over the last year. The only team in Scotland to come through the league cup group stages with 100% win record showed that the confidence and belief in their own ability was still there from last season. Getting out the league stage is something we'd not done in a while, if at all under that format, then being knocked out by a Premier league team in extra time after going toe to toe with them for 90 mins, especially after such a poor start, again shows the strength and character of our team. So on to the league itself. Very early days but don't think anyone will be disappointed with how we've started. Superb to have a 100% win record at home, handing 2 teams their first defeats of the season, including the league leaders at the time on Saturday. Home form will be vital and it's the start we all dreamed for. Away form is where we can improve. I think it's be fair to say we were unlucky to leave East End Park with nothing. Also think we gave a good account of ourselves away to Dundee Utd, not forgetting how injury hit our midfield was, plus losing McMaster early on. But we showed up well. The only blip so far is Arbroath away. Plenty teams will be beaten by them this season, as Thistle evidenced on Saturday. They're nobodies mugs and are, just like us, out to prove they're not relegation cannon fodder. And they're proving it well so far. The sore bit for me was the manner of defeat, but every team will have a game or two this season where fans will say they were not happy with the performance. The team know it and fair play to them, they responded brilliantly on Saturday, not only with a win but a clean sheet and the general manner of play. Well disciplined, fought as a team both on and off the ball and everyone working hard for each other. Onto this Saturday and the way we've been playing, I think it's only a matter of time before we start picking up points away from home. I do think this weekend coming could be when it starts to happen for us. Fingers crossed anyway. So overall, it's still early days yet but I have to say, I still have that buzzing feeling from beating Hamilton in the play off final. The team, their performances and effort, the inspirational gaffer, they're keeping it alive and it's a great time to be a diamond.

It was a very even match with both teams having the odd strong spell at times. Some good chances at either end with both keepers called into action. Raith were unlucky with the one off the bar, we had a drilled cross from the right that was missed by a striker on the 6 yard line when it looked like a certain tap in. First half I thought we were a bit too slow moving the ball forward, almost over cautious. That changed in the 2nd half and our goal was an excellent move. The type that will catch teams out as they don't expect us to be able to play like that, whereas Airdrie fans have seen it a lot over the last year. McCabe has us playing some excellent stuff but think what was most important today was finally getting a clean sheet. Especially after leaking 4 last week. Raith will bounce back as they're a good squad with good depth. Hamilton looks a player who will get better and be a real handful this season.

Excellent result. Performance was solid but still room for improvement too, which is a positive thing. That's not the best we've played by a long way, but was mile better than last week. The reaction we all hoped we'd seen. Happy days

Don't disagree about Watson, but Rhys was raging last week and getting a RB in on loan after our RB has a shocker makes me think he will change it up.

After last Saturdays result (and ropey performance) I'm a bit nervous about this one and finding it hard to call how it'll go. Said loads of times that our home form will be crucial this season and we are 2 wins from 2 so far. 3 losses away though is not ideal. If last weeks tragic dwfending was an isolated blip, then there's no reason we won't be competing well tomorrow and going for the win. It's doable, no doubt about it. But if there's any hangover from last week, then it could go a totally different way and the McCabe will be facing a real test on how to pick the team up. No doubt he will ring the changes. He has to, and I'd not be surprised to see him dropping himself to the bench. Murray may know a lot of our players, but they'll know him too and how he plays. So let the tactical chess battle commence and fingers crossed Airdrie come out the other end with a positive result and not a battering.

Personally don't think he or Fordyce running back would've made the slightest bit of difference to the outcome, but from a fans perspective, you want to see the effort and at least an attempt. What if the keeper had blocked it but no defender was near to cover and clear? The striker has another go. That's the frustrating bit for me. You've got to bust a gut and at least try to make a difference there.

You're taking one small part of a larger review I wrote and dissecting it in the most ludicrous way. Now that is a mental take.
