  1. That's just wrong on every conceivable level. I hope you not shy in telling them that in order for it to be PAST a particular hour it must first have turned to that hour i.e. half past four CANNOT in any way shape or form be three thirty as it has not passed the hour of four o'clock
  2. Telt! That's what I get for using wikipedia.
  3. Tbf you've got Stephen Kingsley and Ryan Fraser in there, neither of whom are playing for a club of RB Leipzigs calibre and they've not even got 30 appearances between them. (according to wikipedia)
  4. Just to echo some of the comments earlier about the horrific events in Manchester, any decent human being is going to be upset and feel sympathy towards those affected but some of the comments I'm reading are boiling my piss. Just read one where someone genuinely said "What a horrible tragedy. Hope they catch those responsible. Been there a few times and I was actually there 4 years to the date of the bombing to see rush which is kind of a frightening thought now." I was there 5 years ago, what a lucky escape.
  5. I've just realised that could be construed as a compliment which is not what I intended.
  6. Aye, looking forward to that one, the Navigator is a brilliant album. Almost booked a trip to London to catch them at Koko, glad I didn't now. Will also be my first time at St Luke's, looks like a nice venue.
  7. I 'remember' seeing him at Gig On Green in 2001, have this vague recollection of him wearing a helmet and stilts at one point, crazy as f**k but was a very enjoyable show nonetheless.
  8. Hurray For the Riff Raff at St Lukes and Mark Lanegan at the Garage all booked up. Chris Cornells passing made my mind up on this one, he's the best vocalist I've ever seen and I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't catch ML at least once.
  9. I experience this every single day getting off the train. I do quite enjoy the ones that don't even look at the door and stare at the step/ground before trying to get on and shite themselves when they see there's a big baldy bastert standing right in their face. I also refuse to take the long way round when folk crowd the door and will wait until a path is cleared for the shortest route off platform. Small joys!
  10. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-39971267 This cheered me up this morning. The Chinese have basically Top Gunned the Americans for real!
  11. Fell On Black Days is a gut punch now "Whatsoever I've feared has come to life Whatsoever I've fought off became my life Just when everyday seemed to greet me with a smile Sunspots have faded and now I'm doing time Now I'm doing time 'Cause I fell on black days I fell on black days Whomsoever I've cured, I've sickened now And whomsoever I've cradled, I've put you down I'm a search light soul they say But I can't see it in the night I'm only faking when I get it right When I get it right 'Cause I fell on black days I fell on black days How would I know That this could be my fate? How would I know That this could be my fate? Yeah"
  12. So true. Listening to his music tonight, it's clear he was a tortured soul expressed through his music. Always came across as genuinely nice, humble witty man at his concerts. If anyone wants to understand why he's considered one of the greatest rock singers ever, stick on his Songbook album, spine tingling and gut wrenching at the same time. Never thought he'd go out like this, he's seen it happen to so many of his friends. Not ashamed to admit i've shed a tear or two tonight which i've never done for celeb before.
  13. I'll tell you something, it's an absolute bitch being a fan of 90's grunge. Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, Scott Weiland and now Chris Cornell. That's 4 of the top 5 grunge singers gone, although none of them have hit me as hard as Chris, I feel like I've grown up with the guy and I was only 15 when KC passed. Hope to f**k Eddie Vedder bucks this trend. If you haven't already, make sure you catch a PJ concert, it's an experience not to be missed.
  14. This is how good the guy was, mashing up two classics to make them better than the sum of their parts -
  15. f**k sake, this has gutted me this morning! Saw him last year at the Royal Concert Hall on his acoustic tour and he was utterly immense as always. Really feel privileged to have experienced his voice in person a few times, so sad i'll never hear it again.
  16. I went on a bit of movie binge yesterday as I was off work with a bad back and wanted to move as little as possible - Hell Or High Water (Amazon Prime) - This was a very good modern western with great performances from Chris Pine, Jeff Bridges and Ben Foster. The plot is really quite simple, a couple of brothers rob banks in west Texas to stop the banks from reclaiming their family land and a pair of old Texas Rangers are on their trail. It's straightforward but very watchable mainly due to some brilliant cinematography and the terrific cast, Pines best performance imo. 8/10. The Young Offenders (Netflix) - Really enjoyed this one in spite of its low brow humour and plot. A couple of Irish juvenile delinquents come up with a plan to acquire millions of euros worth of cocaine from the coast where drug smugglers have ditched a massive haul. The humour isn't particularly deep and there really isn't much of a plot other than a 'road trip' but the 2 young lads are just incredibly likable and there are some very funny set pieces. It's also short so doesn't outstay it's welcome. 7.5/10 I Don't Feel at Home In This World Anymore (Netflix) - A quirky Netflix indie movie with Melanie Lynskey and Elijah Wood. A woman has her house burgled and frustrated by the lack of action by the police takes it upon herself to find the culprits. A darkly comic film with some severe tonal shifts at times and great performances from the leads, particularly Woods oddball martial arts loving rocker. Well worth watching if you fancy something a little bit different. 7.5/10
  17. Do you carry a windbreaker about with you in case you're caught short and have to use a urinal?
  18. I'm still reading it at the moment. I got it years ago and moved house before I got a chance to read it, been in a box all that time. Picking it up at night and reading little bits at a time, very good so far. Enjoying the photos as much as the text tbh!
  19. What the actual f**k is going on here?
  20. Points off for not firing those huge cannons! So only 11 out of 10
  21. Tremendous stuff this, yodeellllleeehheeeehoooo!
  22. Oooft, imagine admitting that! [emoji6] Was very similar to the tune from Lazy Song. Rest was utter shite though.
  23. Bruno Mars wants his tune back Spain!
  24. Think i'll go get some neebles!
