  1. Considering I see more of the people I work with than I do my own family then it's probably in my interests to be diplomatic. That and the fact I don't enjoy being an utter c**t.
  2. One of the very few perks of being a parent is using it as a Get Of Jail Free card when you can't be arsed with a works night out. However I rarely can't be arsed with a night out because I'm a parent.
  3. Just watched a couple of episodes of Evil Genius and between this, The Staircase and Making A Murderer Netflix have managed to make me absolutely terrified of the oddballs and loonies out there. And I'm not just referring to the criminals either, it's some of the folk on the law enforcement side too.
  4. I suggest the argumentative lot look up the definition of 'ad hominem'. Not getting involved in a never ending argument but I will make facetious comments.
  5. I agree, McNulty acted like a bit of dick sometimes. Are you allowed to say that about people who aren't black?
  6. I prefer Marlo Stanfield portrayed by Jamie Hector who is also excellent in Bosch.
  7. Post mortems are carried out by forensic pathologists in Scotland.
  8. Jimmy Eat World supporting Frank Turner next year!
  9. Eh? Apart from a couple of songs it's not a patch on Attack of the Grey Lantern, I do like a bit of Mansun though. Paul Drapers recent solo effort is pretty good.
  10. Absolutely but you kill it through the school system, take away the them Vs us culture, wee Billy and Timmy are best mates at an early age. Couple of generations but we will get there My daughters friend from just down the street goes to the catholic school in our area, my daughter doesn't. She has no idea that there are religious/ non-denomination schools she just thinks she goes to a different school. Bigotry definitely starts (and ends) at home.
  11. No because the vile sweeteners will still be in it. All you'll get is an even sweeter drink with a nasty aftertaste.
  12. Shane Black is "Geez you got a big pussy" guy from Predator. A role he asked for as part of the Lethal Weapon script deal. I've enjoyed most of the films he's been involved in tbh.
  13. I'm wondering if you are still reading this, it's probably the longest book I've ever read but I still thought it was absolutely tremendous and brilliantly plotted. A classic that actually deserves the title.
  14. Unfortunately it looks like Barrs masterplan may be paying off. A colleague in work who strongly detested the new Irn Bru and refused to drink it has now confessed to having a couple of cans at the weekend and not being able to tell the difference. It's now been at least 6 weeks since I had a real Bru and I'm getting a bit fed up with Coca Cola. Also noticing more and more places not even bothering to stock full sugar drinks and this is pissing me off even more.
  15. I've been addicted to Fargo, one of the best tv shows i've ever watched. Kept avoiding it as i thought it wouldn't be a patch on the Coen Bros but absolutely nails their 'thing', each season completely independent from each other apart from some small details! Godless is very very good too.
  16. Frank Turner >>> Everything
  17. I caught the last 20 mins of the game and despite Porto being down to 10 men they had most of the ball. Gauld had very few touches and didn't do anything wrong or flashy when he did. It's the first time i've seen him in a while and he looked a bit bigger than i remember, maybe that was just down to the 'continental hair do' confusing me.
  18. It's St Ninians, Scotland's top non-private school. The pupils are still annoying c***s though. Most of the posh private school weans get off/on at Crossmyloof, that's the stop for Hutchie.
  19. ^^Commoner! The best little main street for eating out in my biased opinion. Not so good for gambling alcoholics though.
  20. I think the CCA might be my least favourite venue in Glasgow, terrible view and the bars miles away. It's been at least 10 years since i was at the Art School but don't remember it being that bad.
  21. Only just found out Frank Turner is playing the Fruitmarket for Celtic Connections, fortunately there's still tickets available, result!
  22. Children of Time - Adrian Tchaikovsky. Brilliant sci-fi book about the evolution of genetically enhanced spiders contrasted with the story of the struggling remnants of the human race. Terrific stuff, I've rattled through all 600 pages since Sunday.
  23. Did he see the klingon tits coming? [emoji15]
