  1. Nope! Hearts were unadulterated shite. Morton probably the better team but lacked anything in the final third on a poor soaking wet bumpy pitch.
  2. Unfortunately that'll no' be happening. We are very much the enemy in Mrs Budge's book after last season's shenanigans when Hearts we're shite all season but still have a huge chip on the shoulder for the decision to relegate them. Now talk of them not lifting the trophy on Saturday as a protest! What a bunch of roasters. So, we'll get hee haw from them. Anything we do get we will have truly earned.
  3. Ah ha! The two consecutive draws scenario! Those of us of a certain vintage will well remember that from the end of the 1994-5 season. Dundee were also part of that scenario back then. Nervous, very nervous times playing Hamilton at Firhill on the last day. Especially the Peter Duffield open goal miss near the end. However, two nil nil draws in the last two games got us over the line to complete our "Double". Happy days indeed.
  4. I was only trying to be polite to Ludo*1 after misquoting him. I'm with all the rest of you in believing a draw is the very best result for us. I do have a wee tremor (not related to any overindulgence of alcohol, wacky baccy etc.!) at the thought of meeting ICT in the play offs. Our record is absolutely honking against them over 20+ years in this fixture.
  5. Ok Ludo*1 On re-reading the whole caboodle I apologise profusely for my geriatric brain fail. Ach! I've a bit of an excuse being at the far end of the corridor leading to the departure lounge. Not quite geriatric but heading there in the brain. Bad fail all round from me. Still no' happy Sir Jimmy's name was taken in vain. You definitely win though. Looking for McPake to make his men do the same on Tuesday.
  6. It'll need to be a sheet off a double or king size bed to accommodate all these words.
  7. Ya roaster! Behave yersel' You implied our much revered Sir Jimmy was a typical geriatric driver. The great man is only 64 years old. I'll happily concede to your fanatical frothing over Barry Smith but only for what he did for Dundee which is obviously the most important thing to you. Just get your lot to get something from ICT on Tuesday. Thank you,
  8. Bear in mind ludo is a massive Barry Smith fan as well...
  9. Shamelessly copied from All things Dundee FC where someone asked if Sir Jimmy was still involved around Dens Park. Sacrilege! Nothing but sacrilege! Is Jimmy Nicholl still involved with Dundee unofficially? I see him at least once a week, early morning, coming out of that Food on the Green place at the top of the Provie 1 hour ago, Ludo*1 said: Usually causing a bit of a traffic issue as he just parks in the middle of the road pretty much and slaps his emergency lights on. Typical geriatric driving around. They get right on my tits. Thank you
  10. Probably the only game this season that we can honestly say that we got away with grand larceny. How Alloa didn't at the very least get a draw, never mind a win, is a mystery. However, it's now history and in the records as 2-1 Rovers and there will be no description of how that came about in future reference to these records.
  11. Well unless I've made a mistake the worst we can finish is now third. Quite an achievement for a newbie into the Championship.
  12. Class! Our guys are superb in what they do, and have done for a few years now. They've really upped the stakes since Covid started. All the best for a quick return. You didn't deserve to be relegated today on that showing, however we all know it is over the course of a season that counts.
  13. Anything that knocks ICT out the play offs is our best hope of maybe doing better in them than we would, if they were in them. Come Tuesday a draw would be braw for us a'
  14. But the world demands to know what they plan to do with the Challenge Cup! When is it to be played? Where is it to be played? How many will be allowed to go to the ground to see it being played? Momentous moments like this must take priority!
  15. I'd hedge my bets that there might be a problem getting the hairstyle life-like
  16. Touché! Thanks for clarifying all the Regan signing moves. Much appreciated.
  17. Oops! Of course he did. I can't fully remember but was that on loan or the full deal when Barry Smith signed him. I have it in my head that he was loaned to us initially. Then again, I'm probably making this up from somewhere in the depths of the deep void between my ears.
  18. One plus one = The answer It's the Celtic connection that John McGlynn had with Regan that brought him to us first time on loan then when he was released there was only one club he was coming back to.
  19. Just looked at the build up to the goal again. 10 (ten!) passes to get the ball to Gozi. The eleventh touch from the Rovers was the one that put it in the net. Granted there were a couple of rebounds off Queen's players but we still retained possession.
  20. You just need to see his reaction at the end of last night's game to see he's fully committed to the Rovers right now. Where he goes after this season ends is anyone's guess but Regan will no doubt have quite a few options. Only he, or his agent, will do what they think will be in his best interest. I'd love it if he decides that another year (or better two) with the current Rovers' squad is what suits him best. I doubt that'll be the case though.
  21. It really is quite stupid saying Raith is a wee team. The team is better by a reasonable bit this season than the Pars. Perhaps people are getting in a muddle between a team and a club. Maybe Raith are, in eyes of some, a smaller club by attendance numbers etc., but they have struggled on without shafting local businesses by going into administration and paying zero pence in the pound to creditors. Morally that's far bigger in the greater scheme of things. Better a wee club with a better team and management than a club being supported by a bunch of supporters full of self delusion and self righteous entitlement. I'll take the wee club anytime.
