Why would Wednesday fans travel hundreds of miles to support your shitty wee club when your fans won’t travel 15 miles to back them against their biggest rivals?

Imagine letting your team run out to a scattering of fans in a derby game on the pretence you don’t want to give money to the opposition. Every other group of fans would be buzzing to back their team, but not these weirdos.

Less than a week to go and Ayr ticket sales for the derby absolutely embarrassing. Can’t be more than 500 sold. Whole sections of the home end virtually sold out. I would reckon around 6k including season tickets, so far. Get your dab fingers out and support your team.

They hate facing the facts. Per head of population, the worst supported club in Scotland.

The thing you can’t seem to grasp, is that crowd numbers are almost entirely the problem. As long as your town fails to respond to any efforts put in by the chairman to upgrade the club, you will struggle to be able to finance decent signings. Our attendance was up by almost a thousand in the response to the appointment of the new management team. That’s more money in the kitty as we build momentum. It’s really just common sense.

4600 Killie fans today. Four times the support of a team from a town of the same size. That’s not counting Prestwick. Then you expect your club to sign decent players? Mind boggling.
