    Right, no.

Fair. Maybe I’m hoping he watches the video of the seagull lifting the crisps out of the shop in Aberdeen, tries the same, and gets the shite kicked out of him by the shopkeeper.

6 year old Templeton is what I ordered. Was only 21 quid. If i'm being honest, I just pretty much picked the first Rye I seen and threw it in there since I was ordering and paying delivery anyway

Oh that's fine; I thought it'd have been more expensive than that in the UK. Even the 4YO wouldn't owe you anything at 20 quid TBF.

Coincidentally I just finished my bottle of Bulleit Rye tonight along with a Wild Turkey 101 and a Tomatin 14 Port Cask. There was only a dram left in each and as I'm moving soon I can't take my collection with me.

A rye whisky is a pleasurable experience although have always meant to try Templeton since it seeing it mentioned in Harry Bosch books but never got round to it. I'll look forward to a review please.

If it’s the 4YO Templeton I’d take Bulleit Rye over it; too sweet for me.

    Avoid Chicago.

Comiskey Park has a red line station and the wee guys selling shoplifted items on the train usually start appearing around Chinatown so it’s entirely possible to get white socks going to the White Sox.

  5. Rwanda bill passes, 300 folks to be sent in July at a cost of 1.8 million quid a head. Unless a pesky lawyer manages to keep somebody off a plane, in which case most likely nobody will be getting on planes because every other lawyer will use what the first one did as precedent. Good luck, scumbag Tory b*****ds. By which I mean get in the fucking sea you utter c**t scumbag Tory b*****ds.

  6. Worst: going in to see The Sixth Sense at the midnight showing, pished, and falling asleep after 20 minutes. Woke up at the end credits to be told by my mate 'c**t wiz deed'. Still never got round to seeing it, didn't seem to be much point after that spoiler.

Is a clarkies fudge doughnut better than a pieBob's fudge covered fudge doughnut?

I don't think I've seen fudge so many times in a sentence outside of some opposition MP seething about the Government unemployment figures.

Apologies if it's been mentioned before, but there was the story of the Man U player (can't remember which one) who used to milk his fellow players (MATRON!) on the way back from away games.

They would stop at a chippie, he'd collect cash from the rest of the players for their grub, go in to get the food, then pay by cheque, in the expectation that the shop owners would never cash it as it had the player's autograph on it.

    Tight or clever? Both?

The guy I've heard that one about is Jackie Charlton, who's apparently got framed cheques on the walls of half the boozers in Ireland.

I don't know, I think most people would say that John Squire was the brains behind the Stone Roses and by miles a better songwriter while Ian Brown's strength was purely being the frontman with an easily recognisable singing style and an attitude. Ian Brown's solo career has proved this, initially he had some success built on his previous reputation but it quickly got old.

I think I’d have probably agreed with that after the first LP but the Seahorses being awful kinda shoots it down. There’s an argument (that I have some sympathy with) to say Brown saved The Second Coming from being properly bad by not being able to sing; if he had a big rawk voice, it’d just have sounded like a bad Led Zep tribute.

  10. Really wanted to go see them with Ride on the co-headline tour they did in the US last year, however my wife was inconsiderate enough to give birth 10 days prior and I was absolutely knackered. Seems to be becoming a thing for British bands that aren’t as big over here; Suede and the Manics did one and the tickets were only $45. Charlatans/Ride was only $40.

I splay my left hand (palm turned upwards) and then place the first glass between thumb and forefinger, gripping it with those. The next glass rests on my ring finger while being stabilised with the middle finger. The third rests in the space between while being stabilised by my pinky.

The right hand has palm downwards and I grip one glass with thumb and forefinger and the other with middle finger pressing the glass against the ring finger.

If it's pints I pick up the 6th glass between the two hands. The 6th glass is only held by pressure from either side, so that goes down first. The next glasses down are the ones in my right hand which are set down simultaneously. The ones on the left are set down in reverse order to their placement.

    Quite the party piece.

Right, what’s everybody having then? Tell you what, just write it down here for me
