Also noticed last night we're away to Patrick away next Tuesday night for some reason?
We currently only have one Saturday fixture v Partick this season. Fitting in midweek league games yet reserving a Saturday in August for an early league cup game and finishing the league on a Friday night is the thought process of a bellend.

As far as I can see, trains seem to be up and running. Replacement bus from Waverley to Inverkeithing (as was always going to be the case), but Fife services seem to be fine.
Yes I've just seen that too, cheers. Think Scotrail were hasty with the message about suspended networks.

There's planned engineering works, line was always going be off. It was the same last weekend.
Only to Inverkeithing where buses were running. Not any more.

Trains from Edinburgh to Fife are suspended again tomorrow

Amber warnings issued now for the area and even red warnings further North. Not a chance.

Incidentally, did Queens Park run out to the theme from Local Hero or did I imagine that last weekend?
I know Newcastle run out to that.
They did. I'm sure another Scottish club used that tune in the past from memory, possibly Forfar. I was expecting more recent tunes from the lad to be honest.

There were loads of Dundee Utd fans in the Hub in the recent game, no problems either.

More people bought tickets than attended so good to see fans still contributing to his testimonial fund knowing they could not be there in person , his game worn tops have also sold very well only 6 left , thanks to all who contributed yesterday along with all the events to date it’s much appreciated by both Michael and the testimonial committee, only 2 events left , Gala dinner with guest speakers on Saturday 28th October at Ayr Racecourse ( we play Morton at home in the afternoon) and then finishing his year in mid November with his Racenight ( started with one and ending with one ) tickets for dinner on sale now £500 for table of 10 or £55 each , to book email info@themoff.co.uk , tables selling fast with nearly 70% of them sold already
I was one of them that couldn't make it but bought a match ticket, had to be done for a player that brought me so much joy over the years. Are there any programmes left from yesterday and if so will they be on sale in the shop on Saturday?

It’s £2 for a new card only if you asked for one , the QR code only changed if you ordered a new season ticket rather than a renewal (some people did that) but majority didn’t , over 90% of people who had a season last year have the same QR code
Ah. So you're saying I've made an arse of it?

I'm just hoping last years card has it loaded on as bought it while logged in to my account ??
My E-mail receipt has no QR code or barcode etc, so I'm assuming it's been loaded on to the card from last year.
Yeah thats what I thought until I looked closely at the QR code for this year's season ticket and compared it! I know you were given the option of asking for a card for this season but thought you could either use last season's card or a pdf from an email. It was never stated that the card from last season wouldn't work for those people renewing as far as I can recall.

I'm not too frequent on here at the moment but in case it hasn't been mentioned in previous pages I don't think last season's plastic season ticket card will work this year even if you renew. I looked at the "My membership cards" section and the QR code looks different compared to last season's card.
https://tickets.ayrunitedfc.co.uk/guest_member_cards
So I've had to save the pdf via the "Print Members card" option then email it to my phone.
Surely it would be easier to just email everyone the pdf for those that have renewed.

Could take up position behind the dugout for an alternative view?
Yeah I might do that. Not that I know how to actually get there!

I wonder if some fans might be put off buying season tickets this season because the North Terrace is shut. I know I'm not looking forward to spending the whole season behind the goal.

Quite a poignant picture that. Lots of good and not so good memories getting shovelled into the skip.

Aye I have this "oh well back to Peterhead next season" feeling in my head!

Firing blanks up front without Dipo.

I took it as Scotland, not Ayr United.
There was a racist comment made at Firhill recently aimed at Dipo though so could be meaning that.
Yes I did mean Scotland. That was before I found out he was staying in Hamilton in which case he's done well to last as long as he has.

If we do go up does Dipo stay? Read his family did not settle in Scotland and are back in England so he might want home either way.
No wonder tbh. We're not as welcoming as we think we are.

Don't mind two legs for previous rounds but a one off final at a neutral venue feels like much more of an occasion.

Not sure the "stony silence for dramatic effect" works that well in interviews. Just ask the bloody question!

I've found it much easier this season getting served in the Hub although I tend not to buy anything after 2:30. The staff have definitely grown into their roles.
