  1. The number of times I've been up to ICT for the draws and defeats and thought, there's hardly any home fans actually here to watch this. The idea there was 1000 or so season ticket holders that never showed up appears to have been a lie.
  2. The hysterics of wee Dougie at full time in no way made up for the devastation upon discovering the stand side kiosk had no limited jam portioned empire biscuits on sale.
  3. Forget new players on them, why don't we go down the vintage cans of Tennents lager route for a bit of nostalgia?
  4. All this kerfuffle after beating Hamilton twice, Raith twice and a side salad of Airdrie. Just wait till we scud Falkirk.
  5. Must admit Dunfermline's empire biscuits two weeks ago were bigger and a wee bit tastier. Almost worth hoping they stay up.
  6. I reckon at least one of our three consecutive away games v Airdrie, Raith and Morton from end October will be our next Friday night TV game.
  7. As it stands there are no midweek games until February. If we beat Peterhead I think the next round is midweek though.
  8. Been a while since we played Partick at home on a Saturday so looking forward to a decent crowd and atmosphere.
  9. Just catching up with this, seen the last two pages, horrible memories, lets just appreciate the professionalism of the the current custodians of the club (if we haven't already)
  10. I think the 2-0 there last season was Scott Brown's worst game in charge so far so hopefully a better effort this time.
  11. Best start to the season since 1991 apparently. Nice to actually witness it this time instead of a Saturday job in Tarbert Co-op.
  12. Surprised at the attendance figure, thought there were way more than last week in both home and away ends. Looking forward to an awayday next week, three consecutive home games felt a bit odd but we properly maxed it out.
  13. Trying to think what is different this season to last season in terms of away catering? I don't remember any complaints but nor do i remember any catering vans in the away end.
  14. Hopefully Alba also show the next QOS v Annan game, round 2 of bamming up Wullie Gibson!
  15. I reckon Falkirk away on October 5 is catching the eye of BBC Scotland as well.
  16. Steak and black pudding pies at Arbroath have been my highlight in recent years. I have no idea why they're not on offer elsewhere. I didn't see many takers for the pakora on offer in the Hub on Friday. That might need a rethink.
  17. Don't blame me, not my fault my gastronomic standards are inferior compared to fellow Ayr fans with their petty foibles about jam content.
  18. I've noticed that the upturn in form around the end of last season and into this season has coincided with the regular availability of empire biscuits in the kiosks. Long may both continue. Not tried dunking them into my coffee yet.
  19. Thank god we managed to reschedule the Hamilton game. I know some folk have lost out making other arrangements but a fortnight of waiting till the next game on the back of that performance doesn't bear contemplating.
  20. Talking of awaydays there are only two (Pars, Queens Park) between now and October.
  21. If you have between 600k and 700k net migration (legal and illegal) into the country every year then it's a massive problem on public services, housing, education, and the big one in the near future, water. I'm in England every week and it's been the no 1 topic for a while now speaking to locals in the North East. I feel lucky to live in sparsely populated Ayrshire tbh. England has been a tinderbox for years now. I do agree though that football is escapism for 90 minutes and we really should be focusing here on the promising start we've made.
