  1. Your best 11 differs from the manager, where do you think he is getting things wrong and why is he wrong?
  2. I don’t think it’s having an issue, it’s called having an opinion. I am more concerned at no Michael Gemmell the last 3 games, who in my opinion has been Bo’ness Utd’s most consistent player over the last 4 or 5 years.
  3. Hunter showed last night why he has been part of the best central defensive partnership at this level over the last couple of seasons. Hopefully his experience rubs off on those around him now that he is back. Stick Gemmell into that team in front of the back 4 and you have a solid foundation to move forward from. I thought both Locke and Comrie were also worthy of a mention last night, Locke showing his versatility when he moved back to a holding role later in the game. Apart from the Edinburgh goal Murphy was a spectator, was that due to the opposition or a better defensive display with Hunter back. hope that no sensitive souls take offence at my post!
  4. Gemmell epitomises all that was great about the team over the last couple of seasons, after losing so many of that team and when Hunters not fit, then it’s a mistake to leave his experience on the bench. Looks like it could be a long season. Hopefully they turn it around soon.
  5. Signed a lot of players from the league below, which those players didn’t look like getting out of. These players replaced players that were able to challenge in this league and won the league below, it’s pretty self explanatory.
  6. Gemmell and Hunts a big miss for passion and the team spirit of the last couple of seasons. Missing Campbell, Dev, etc!
  7. Wharton for me will be a decent addition for this league, I saw him a few times when he was at Queens Park, in my opinion a solid centre half, no nonsense.
  8. All been very quiet on here from Auld Dunderheid and co, why is that?
  9. For what it’s worth, I rated Wharton when he was a Queens Park, pretty solid no nonsense type!
  10. I think when you put things into perspective it’s a point gained, to get away with a point after the poorest performance of the season so far, against one of the top 3 or 4 sides in this league. Before a ball was kicked this season anyone involved with Boness would have been delighted to be undefeated after 7 games, and dropping only four points. Although some maybe disappointed at dropping 2 points tonight, it has been a fantastic start to the season with what has been a thread bare squad at times. Max and the players deserve a great deal of credit for what has been achieved so far.
  11. Boness looked a bit tired tonight, but season so far no one should have any complaints as to where they are. Defensively slacker than they have been, but still undefeated.
  12. Another great result for BU. Good performance from Ross Campbell, played well and never got dragged into Smith’s nonsense, didn’t get upset at Smith’s persistent fouling, just got on with the job. Gemmell though for me was the stand out and for me was the difference between the two sides, he dug in quite frankly frustrated the life out of Berwick, for me easily MOTM.
  13. Do you mean like ramp it up to Calum’s level, he even managed to argue with his own dugout! He was very ordinary today, looks a bit passed it when up against an on form Ross Campbell!
