Tanser injury looked pretty bad, seemed to land on his ankle. Might be a long term thing which is just another huge blow that we don't need at the moment.

The fundamental problem remains in the team

The system is one thing here but the quality of some of our players is seriously in doubt. Clark - nothing needs to be said but elsewhere tonight, Bryson and Conway looked exactly what feared they are, players whose legs have gone. I know we are playing Rangers but their ball retention was abysmal. Throw Kane into that, I was happy enough with him starting but he’s not really a top level striker is he? Is Liam Gordon up to it (sorry Tam)? We are totally reliant on Spoony being on fire to be able to do anything. He’s not always going to be on fire, we know that. MOH was just idiotic, now misses more games where he might offer something different. All in all pretty down hearted this evening. Previously I’d always rely on TW to turn it round. That certainty is no longer on offer.

Strange going into a game against St Mirren fearing the worst but here we are. Momentum very much in Paisley and couldn’t fail to be impressed by them the other night. Can only hope complacency sets in for them and we finally “click”. Playing a proper starting eleven will help with that hopefully.

Good post. He's picked up similar positions to that loads of times this season but never tries the shot. It's very frustrating to watch, knowing he scored a number of goals from these sorts of areas previously.

Bloody hell random, come on, playing to type a bit too much here. It wasn’t great, there’s issues clearly but fully expected us to lose on penalties so let’s take it and hope for favourable semi final draw. Really enjoyed the Pars TV commentators. Maybe they mixed our players up a bit but thought they were very fair and balanced. Didn’t grate at all like most do. My stream was fine on laptop too, casting to TV wasn’t good. Thought Kyle Turner was impressive for Dunfermline. Shame couldn’t have been there in person, it’s torture watching on your own.

Did think I was being harsh when thought he was at fault, definitely unconscious bias coming into play there and was just annoying not to have won due to a freak goal like that. We can all agree better to have him in there than Parish though. Cue Random’s database revealing Parish is actually the second coming of Gianluigi Buffon or something.......

Have had some harsh words for Rooney and MOH since start of season so only fair to say both played well today. More of that please. Nice to see a couple of goals from close in after cut backs, wee break of ball for Hendry which we’ve no been getting. Be good to no get the inevitable draw in the next round. Was Tony Watt that much of a p***k when he played for us? Bizarre vandetta with Rooney.
