Might be being hopelessly optimistic here but is there a chance Davidson has learned from the master here and is saying very negative things about incoming transfers while in the background they are fully anticipating bringing in a player or two? Appreciate the current situation is unique but how many fans would there have been actually paying into games come October? It’d only be season ticket holders that have already paid surely?

Fairly certain Dailly started the match Paulo, he did clinch it fairly late on with some goal, 16 at the time as you said. It was Alan Main that got sent off but can't remember who then went in goals. Darren Jackson got their other two goals, Harry Curran for us. Some atmosphere at the game from what remember as fresh faced nine year old at time!

Admire folk trying to give an optimistic assessment of that. Better in the second half certainly but that was turgid stuff again. Don’t want to single a guy out but Conway is a complete passenger, not taken to him at all. System doesn’t suit the players but we desperately need some fresh faces in. As others have alluded to I don’t understand why the manager seems obsessed with copying the formation of Millwall, a middling Championship side. If they were the reincarnation of mid nineties Ajax then could see it but that’s hardly the case. Davidson said he wasn’t going to change too much from TW but if he’s throwing our pragmatic approach out the door and persisting with a formation that clearly doesn’t suit the players we have, then it’s a fundamental shift and one that worries me greatly. Injuries are not helping and we need fresh players in but as ever we are not exactly on the front foot in that regard. We had games like that under TW of course and he’d turn it round countless times. It’s early for CD, need to be fair here but I’ve uneasy feeling about him so far.

Think I was wrong in my assertion we need a new goalkeeper. We need two.
