  1. Pretty sure that’s actually a parody account. But it is very difficult to know these days. personally I would have like Rosie Holt to have stood for the Tories leadership she speaks more sense than most of them. though I have never actually seen her speak in parliament yet.
  2. I had always wondered why BBC Scotland gave them any coverage at all while they were in a ‘dispute’ with them?
  3. Will they just play GSTQ once before the game tonight? [emoji848] Or will Norn Ire have to use their ‘away anthem’[emoji23]
  4. I remember going to the pre season game at Brighton back in the McGhee days. The match ticket also gave you free train and bus travel in the Brighton & hove area on the day of the match. I always thought it was a great idea and wondered why more clubs didn’t do similar.
  5. Unsure about this one and I am a Palace fan. It looks like the colouring in my kids used to do at nursery!
  6. This came up on my Facebook feed from a friend of mine south of the border. How does Facebook know I might not want to see posts like this? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  7. Surely not! Though I would put nothing past the current caretaker PM.
  8. Can’t wait to see the headline on the Daily Heil tomorrow! [emoji2962]
  9. Not sure if anyone else from Dunfermline has ever played for Real Madrid.
  10. Why are there differences in the price of petrol with the same company. It has been going up daily at our local Tesco last week and is currently 189.9 for unleaded. I was up in Perth today and Tesco at the football ground was 179.9. Going on a comparison site it seems Edinburgh is also cheaper. Is this the price of becoming a City! [emoji848]
  11. A great example, however the Dons then went on to win the league later that season and began the greatest period of our history cumulating in the 83 win against Real Madrid. So hopefully Clarke can learn lessons like Fergie did and we now go on to not just qualify but win the next Euros! [emoji848][emoji6]
  12. I was at the Madness gig there last night. The gig itself was great but I agree the price of a can of Brewdog was ridiculous, especially as I was on the low alcohol one as I was driving. Though judging by the state of many people there, they were happy to pay.
  13. A wise place to park, I was two streets down from Calder Street and it took us nearly an hour to get that far. I think I will go back to my previous parking space near the bowling club then driving up to the M8 next time.
  14. I am going to do that again next game. I normally parked near Queens Park Bowling club and head up through the city to the M8. This time I had parked in Allison Street thinking that it was nearer the M74 junction. I didn’t get onto the M74 till near 11pm. Lesson learned.
  15. Just noticed that the photos on the cover show some of the biggest teams in Scotland at the time and a certain city has no representation!
  16. The Scottish edition also adds ‘and Sturgeon’s’ to the title. I wonder why they don’t have that on their southern editions?
  17. As a Palace fan can I just say that I have never seen Hennessy play like that before!
  18. I will introduce you to my mother-in-law. Staunch Tory living in Sussex. She always tells me how much she likes Gordon Brown though, because he gave them the free bus travel.
  19. I was working on the QE2(the ship not the person) in 1990 and they came on for the 150 celebrations of Cunard Line. They walked through the Casino where we worked and we were all standing at the gaming tables. The only person Phil spoke to was a croupier from Belfast. I won’t tell you what side of the city she was from, but I don’t think she would be welcome back there now! [emoji23] I personally have nothing against HRH but just feel the whole institution is outdated and I can totally understand the ‘discomfort’ she felt as I certainly felt the same when I saw any coverage of it yesterday.
  20. I will happily have a bit of friendly banter with any Ukrainian that I meet outside Hampden tomorrow, as we did with the Danes last year. I will also show their Anthem the full respect that it deserves. But once the Refs whistle blows at 7.45 there will only be one thing on my mind, cheering the boys on to victory. I desperately hope for a Scottish win but whatever the result I am also willing to applaud the winning team off the pitch at the end of the game. PS. I would only buy a half and half scarf if it was being sold for a Ukrainian charity.
  21. I walked back to Queens Street station after the Isreal match and saw a few people getting on those hire bikes that they have around Glasgow and cycling back to the centre. Obviously not advisable if you have had a few beverages before the game.
  22. I remember when I was younger finishing a driving lesson and coming back into my home looking forward to a European Cup Final. That was 1985 and I ended up watching supporters die before a very subdued game was played. Let’s hope it’s not similar this time.
  23. Mixed feelings about this one. I would like Andy Robertson to win another medal and get a wee boost before Wednesday. However I would also like my team to still be the last side to beat Real Madrid in a European Final.
  24. Does this mean that the Fife loop is now an inter-city service? BTW I am from Dunfermline and it will always be a Toun as far as I am concerned.
  25. Since I am not in the UK just now, can you advise me if there has been much hype regarding the match? [emoji848]
