FARRELL MUST STAY

Can't understand why we signed C Wilson, Byrne could have been let go to free up a wage too, and maybe we could have did what Stenny have.
Then again...we are at the mercy of Farrell logic...

The real worry is that this season and last we've assembled reasonably decent squads, and if we don't gain promotion then there will come a point, especially in a club running on financial fumes, when we risk becoming sucked into very dangerous territory indeed.
I would have massive concerns for the future of DFC if we dropped into the Lowland League, especially under the current derelict ownership.
Absolutely.
League 2 looks wide open this season, unlike last year, every side looks capable of beating each other.
Really hope we get a result this Saturday to halt the current slump.

Yeah, it didn't exactly help with the call offs last season, having the pitch narrowed. Going out on a limb, I'd say renting the pitch out to your choice of diddies of the year, is much more of a factor there.
(or getting rid of a proper groundsman and replacing him with your golfing pal)
Broomhill are playing on the pitch today, Scottish Cup v Cumbernauld.
I noticed DFC have recently been advertising a vacancy for an Assistant Groundsman lol

I think the stuff about the pitch freezing is a load of pish, Farrell admitted himself that we done it because Aaron Lynas can throw the ball far.
Out of all Farrell’s flaws and mistakes, of which he has many, I’d say narrowing the pitch so dramatically due to one players throw in ability is the most ridiculous thing he’s done so far by a distance. I’m actually sittin here laughing just thinking about it
Aaron Lynas didn’t even start yesterday!
Farrell's like a Cult leader down there.
Free reign

*joint-third
He’s totally relaxed, not a care in the world. Knows he’s under no pressure, whatsoever.
I don't think I've ever seen him have to answer a difficult question. I get that his own club's coverage isn't going to exactly grill him, but I suspect that runs throughout the club, and he's not answerable to anyone.
Usually 2 defeats on the trot might have resulted in being asked to come & see the Chairman on monday morning, just to see if everything's ok, any problems etc
Won't happen though.

How long has the pitch been narrowed in at the Rock, looked like a bout 5 yards in from each side, do Sons fans think this actually helps their team
Don't think it helps us at all, there's a couple of theories why it was done, Farrell wanted it that way, but also to try & avoid that few yards, which get very little sunlight being in the shade of the Stand roof from freezing, it's seemingly been the reason for postponements in the past.

He was quite entitled - one of our absolute c*nts had launched a foul-mouthed rant at him just beforehand.
The "Caaaaaaammm ONnnn" tit??

Arguably the best squad in this League & Farrell hasn't a clue how to get the best out of them, it's almost October & he doesn't know his best starting XI.
It's been the other results going our way the past couple of weeks that keep us in the top 4.
Jim Duffy had a better win % than this clown & that says it all.
Well done to Peterhead, big 3 points, even this early in the season.

Talking about the Board, what happened to the new guy ? Is he still around ?
No idea Frank, it's all gone very quiet hasn't it.

Judging by the response on here you are not alone Moonster. I had no intention of travelling yesterday and as soon as I saw the starting eleven I was glad I didn't.
This continual tinkering will risk two things happening; continued erratic results and some players becoming seriously pissed off.
The galling thing is there's no need for the tinkering, we've already shown we can beat teams well, Stenny away, home to Forfar from a goal behind.
We have a good squad of players, as far as I know Farrell was able to sign all the guys he was after.
He's almost become a cult at DFC, does he answer to anyone within the Club?
Will any of what remains of our Board quiz him about his selections yesterday?
Highly doubt it, the guy seems to have free reign.

The wake of a defeat is never a good time to make bold statements, but the starting line-up and reported manner of today's result at Elgin gives rise to serious concern for what lies ahead.
It's worrying that we seem to be no nearer a settled starting eleven, and I doubt that anyone other than the management team would have gone with that team today.
Lynas on the bench, removing Carlo from midfield, where he excels, attacking winger Orsi doesn't even get a sniff today, Ruth scores last week & doesn't even start today.
Absolutely bizarre, Farrell's a clown

Bizarre team selection when we are playing a side struggling at the other end of the league table.

Stenhousemuir’s Warriors TV streaming service seems to have switched to something called recast.tv
I streamed games from a variety of league one/two clubs last year and this is a new one to me.
I’m used to paying £ sterling on a credit card for either one game or a month’s pass for a specific club, but this operates with “credits” and no real explanation of how you pay for or earn them.
Anyone streamed games on this before?
CheersYeah, I used this a few weeks back for our match too, as PaddyFlannery says a pain in the arse to use, essentially the live game should only cost around £5 to view & the live coverage by WarriorsTV was spot on.
I've honestly no idea how that sort of ReCast platform survives, showing obscure niche events, I now get e-mails from them inviting me to watch the kayak slalom championships & high board diving lol.

A good win, other results were good too, Edin Lynch even scored a late O.G to give Clyde a point at Stenhousemuir.
