I was speaking to Faz about this the other day. He's very pleased with the start to the season but knows that the feeling around the club hasn't been right over the past few years and wants to basically address that head on. As I understand it, it was his idea to get a meeting together and basically just get talking to see if things can almost be started again fresh in the relationship between him and the fanbase.

He's said absolutely nothing is off the table. So if there's something you want asked but either don't feel comfortable enough to ask (or can't make it) then drop me a PM and I'll ask it anonymously on your behalf. There's no filter being put in, so if there's anything you want to get off your chest then I've got the green light to ask it.

Anyone who PMs me to get me to ask him if he'll wave at the fans is getting blocked. Beyond that, fire me what you've got!

Fair play to him for being willing to answer questions, hopefully the support will get involved.

Would also be nice if our Board would do something similar.

I read his self written biography in Alan Sugars voice. Stresses he's about common sense and getting things done, so we'll see how that turns out...

He'll maybe just disappear/resign after a few months like most of all the other "Directors" of CC.

    Bizarre stuff

Got this in the Ali Express sale for £48.

Dial is fantastic , have no issue with the bracelet like some. Have the Steeldive Willard and it's easily the same standard as that.

    Same here

I love the lume, my only complaint - the hands should be a bit bigger.

I am receiving this watch for my birthday - please let me know your thoughts, gents.

    Seiko Conceptual Watch SUR303P1

Nice everyday watch, I like the numeral font, think the date window kind of spoils the look of the dial though.

Would look nice on a variety of straps.

Turning some focus to the game ahead of us what is everyone’s general predictions?

As for ourselves I don’t see any changes coming from the team that brushed Stranraer aside at the weekend. Faz tends to stick with his XI if they have been successful so I wouldn’t expect any changes unless forced. Finlay Gray should be back however I see him featuring from the bench if anything.

Away from home and on an artificial surface we usually perform well. I’d be happy with any form of positive result to keep us in touch at the top.

I think there will be goals, maybe a 2-2 draw, Clyde have taken 4 points from their last 2 fixtures.

Disagree with your 2nd paragraph though, Farrell Ranieri can't help tinkering, even after he's picked a winning XI, fingers crossed though.

Agree about the artificial surface, we train on them & usually do ok away from home on them, 4-1 away at Stinkhousemuir was good, wasn't it @Neilly

...as Stenny sign a young striker with first team experience on loan from Motherwell.

Can't understand why we signed C Wilson, Byrne could have been let go to free up a wage too, and maybe we could have did what Stenny have.

Then again...we are at the mercy of Farrell logic...

The real worry is that this season and last we've assembled reasonably decent squads, and if we don't gain promotion then there will come a point, especially in a club running on financial fumes, when we risk becoming sucked into very dangerous territory indeed.

I would have massive concerns for the future of DFC if we dropped into the Lowland League, especially under the current derelict ownership.

    Absolutely.

League 2 looks wide open this season, unlike last year, every side looks capable of beating each other.

Really hope we get a result this Saturday to halt the current slump.

Yeah, it didn't exactly help with the call offs last season, having the pitch narrowed. Going out on a limb, I'd say renting the pitch out to your choice of diddies of the year, is much more of a factor there.

(or getting rid of a proper groundsman and replacing him with your golfing pal)

Broomhill are playing on the pitch today, Scottish Cup v Cumbernauld.

I noticed DFC have recently been advertising a vacancy for an Assistant Groundsman lol

I think the stuff about the pitch freezing is a load of pish, Farrell admitted himself that we done it because Aaron Lynas can throw the ball far.

Out of all Farrell’s flaws and mistakes, of which he has many, I’d say narrowing the pitch so dramatically due to one players throw in ability is the most ridiculous thing he’s done so far by a distance. I’m actually sittin here laughing just thinking about it 🤣 Aaron Lynas didn’t even start yesterday!

Farrell's like a Cult leader down there.

    Free reign
