I've heard he'll be retiring and he's got some clothing business on the side. Might play part time but I think injuries have forced an early retirement. Think with Thomson, McGinn, McGowan and McAlister we've got plenty cover in there for next year. Maybe add another one since Thomson will probably not be able to play the full season.

Where did you see this? Surprised because in one of his previous interviews he said he wasn't keen on buying the ground back as soon as possible.

By that logic then you might as well take the games against United out of the equation, as you're only a point ahead of St Johnstone.

No way we could afford the development fee. Would be some signing though. I wonder if there is a clause in his contract about relegation reducing his development fee or something we don't know about? Might be talking absolute nonsense but are you not only due a fee if you offer either the same or improved wages? Would his wages drop with relegation? Probably clutching at straws here!

Thought yesterday was his best game for us by far. Has shown in glimpses what he is capable of. Definitely worth a new deal.

I can see what you're saying, but in the original statement along with releasing the accounts information it stated the loss, that our directors had purchased more shares, that the loss involved paying staff off (or something along those lines) and that we expected to be in a better position this year. I really don't see what they could add to that.

My mate was at hospitality on Saturday and said that one of the waiters had to interpret what he was saying after the game...maybe we've brought him in already and given him a job on the side!

Always thought he was more than capable to play in the Premiership, so it's a good signing for them. In saying that, it might have been that he just looked good because the rest of our team were so bad! Glad we steered clear and signed up McGinn instead.

Possibly, he was so poor on Saturday that I don't think we'll see him start another game for a while. I suppose you could argue that neither Tankulic or Wighton are natural goal scorers and that's why Heffernan is being brought in (although in fairness to Wighton, I think he could be given a run of games). That's me trying to put any kind of positive spin on it!

Wighton is back from his loan spell, but wouldn't be surprised to see him sent back to Brechin now. Came on at the weekend and showed some good touches again. Would much rather he got more game time as opposed to signing 33 year old who can't cut it in the league below.

Clarkson started on Saturday and looked awful. Poor first touch, lack of pace and mobility and didn't even try to put in a decent shift. He then tried his hardest to get a second yellow card walking off the pitch at half time. Was replaced by Tankulic and we looked a much better side. Just can't see what Heffernan brings.

Has the deal definitely gone through? Can't put into words how disappointed I am with this signing. Going by the reactions on everyone on here and other forums I know I'm not the only one.

Really don't get this signing at all. Should have kept Peaso if this is the type of player we're looking to bring in. As I've already mentioned, and others have too, it'll eat into Wighton's game time. He's the future of DFC and deserves to get some game time. It's not like we're in a relegation battle and need experienced heads. Total nonsense signing IMO.

I still think we do. By left sided I mean left back/left wing. I'd like to see Stewart given a free role in behind the striker, picking the ball up in deeper positions and running at defenders.

Wouldn't be happy with this signing. Another journeyman taking game time from guys like Wighton. I don't get why we're using up our wage budget for a striker when what we really need is left sided players.
