    TBH the bank being overprotective of your account can be a pain in the backside when trying to buy stuff you don’t usually buy. I remember I had to phone them up about a year ago cos I was buying something online that cost £150, and they said that was “irregular activity” on my account

    If you phone the bank using the number from the online banking app or their website, and not any number that has been texted you - you should be fine.

    This. I agree that it was meant as an innocent incident which may have been funny at the time, but to phrase it the way it was and to share it on a forum populated by football fans was maybe not the best idea.

    There are numerous people in my work who send out team emails to the whole office and always put “would of” or “should of” instead of “would/should have”. Makes me want to go and give them a proper slap.

    We feel the same with the win the league talk. Its only over when its over. Would take some sort of betting scandal scenario to stop you from winning the league now. Not like that ever happened...
