A club’s new manager went to another match to watch their next opponent, and a young player on the other team caught his eye. He said to his assistant manager that he thought they should sign this player, not knowing the boy was actually out on loan from their club

Agreed. Whilst it was amusing what almost happened to them last season, I’ve got nothing but respect for their current position and can only hope that one day we will be in the same position!!!

Anyone listen to Savage Messiah? Saw them supporting Trivium a few years back and they were excellent. Been listening to them a fair bit on Spotify and really enjoying their stuff. Thinking of getting a ticket to their Cathouse gig in April.

That’s something else that annoys me on busses. When you’re running late for something and the bus you get is early, so the driver sits at a random stop for what seems like an eternity.

Same when it’s raining, all the windows are closed and the heating up to full blast meaning you sometimes struggle to breathe. But you dare not open a window incase some poor wee soul gets a few spots of rain on them. I actually got on a bus once and could feel the heat as soon as I stepped on. As it was quiet I decided to open the window at the seat where I was sitting, only for the guy walking up the bus directly behind me to close it a second later. Did I say anything? Of course not. I did the typical British thing as sat there shaking my head for the whole of my journey.

Went to a gig in Kilmarnock a few years back and had to get the bus back to Glasgow as the last train had already gone. That 20 minute wait in the bus station was scary as hell. Really? I get the bus to work every morning and see people using their pass, and I never start after 8am...

When I get the bus to work in the morning it’s usually the same people on the bus, and two other folk get off (the bus...) at the same stop as me. The other day I was sitting next to one of these people and despite him knowing that I was going to be getting off (the bus...) at the same time as him, he insisted that I stood up to let him past as soon as the bus pulled away from the stop before rather than waiting till it was nearer our stop, which meant I had to stand for longer than I would have liked.

I usually don’t mind winter when it’s calm and dry but when there is a 70mph wind blowing torrential rain in your face, or sheets of ice on the pavements meaning you are one move away from falling on your arse - it can feck right off.
