  1. Someone’s quoting the Tipping Point and proving at least one P&B reads books. post of this thread. Once the soccernomics quotes fire in football will be fine
  2. Valid point, Kelty won’t resemble a junior club by the time a west team reaches the Lowland League, also some Licensed East teams will have a few years of progression before the west arrives
  3. Strange that the South Of Scotland haven’t suggested setting up a West section as its their area. Winners of both leagues playoff and then play the EoS playoff winner for the Lowland League
  4. This season Irvine Vic V Saltcoats Vics, 48 people, don’t know how many of them where Committee Kilbirnie V Auchinleck, less than 120 and 40 them easily Buffs fans it’s not all great crowds in the juniors
  5. Are clubs talking to each other about everything that is happening? Some are
  6. No, think most teams are happy with the approach although if it doesn’t kick on next season and changes made this season to how the league is run then a few teams will be heading on elsewhere
  7. So two East teams would be in the playoff for the Lowland League each year with one West and one South team, so if promotion is the teams plan they apply to move to the weakest league
  8. With 3 Home league games in 7 months we’d consider Amateur at this rate
  9. Yip should have had a fixture on the 23rd as well
  10. Totally, most arnt bothered that much about the SFA License or the promotion opertunities as they’ll only be achievable by a few. Having fixtures past the 14th April would help, what’s the hold up now? When you get a free week, you’ve just to guess that it’s a free week because nothing posted on the fixture page, your clubs not contacted in any way, just to wait and see. Also we asked for matches during Xmas and New Year and never got one, stupid rules like that don’t help. Never mind us playing 60% of our home games in the first 7 weeks then having two home league games in the next 200 days,
  11. The EOS haven’t said they would start a WOS League, they’ve said if enough West clubs get together and form their own league then the EOS will help them with constitutional issues, contacts, and fixtures, setting up cups etc. I believe the Lowland have been contacted and don’t see an issue with a West league being formed, the only issue is will all Juniors West clubs move to this in 2019, or will clubs form a league for 2018 before the SJFA get round to it. Some clubs have been talking about it. SJFA West meeting on the 26 April to see SJFA’s proposal for pyramid integration, their aim is to try and continue as is as the SJFA with access to the pyramid, let’s hope that includes a full fixture list like the rest of the pyramid or there’s not much point
  12. It’s interesting that most of this kicked off with lack of fixtures and lack of regard for the constitutional changes towards the fixtures, weather aside this season, it’s hard for clubs to run not knowing which month they’ll have a home game. Now in April and we don’t have a fixture past 14th April. Even the questionnaire results still have people believing the SJFA will drag it out regardless of the members choices. I suppose if they ignore their members over fixtures why would they listen to them and act regarding this. SFA Licensing and Scottish Cup entry aside, fixtures are the most important thing for any league or team and the EOS at least publish a list and try to hold to it. The west secretary has already let it be known that next seasons 16 team leagues will be a disaster so do you hang about to see how much of a disaster it’ll be or try something new
  13. 200lux on 20mtr shafts The issues for most clubs going down the floodlight route is lack on power in the park, floodlights will use a standard 3 phase line all to themselves, best to get 200amp 3 phase
  14. Abacus can do them for 25k second hand light system 5/10k
  15. At moment Kilwinning are not interested, Abbey Park is too far from licensing at the minute
  16. there is that, and as for the league, you'd think McBookie might chuck in a free tenner at least for taking part
  17. Yip, if they go the Holy Grail will soon become the West v whats left of the East
  18. Am I right in thinking that some teams had games off in the first 3/4 months of the season, summer football won't fix poor pitches.
  19. Certainly puts the cat amongst the pigeons, I’m sure no West club will want to the last to go especially if the EOS launch an WOS this season.
  20. Having looked at the travel distances West teams would only be traveling 100 miles more to join the EoS rather than the SoS, with better roads to the east it works out the same travel time, wonder if a west team might turn up in the EoS, the central teams would have about half the travel time as Ayrshire teams
  21. The buses were cancelled due to the cold weather and the game likely being off, in fairness Talbot didn’t have much more
  22. Other than a picture of the pyramid that’s it
