  1. Good post and agree with the sentiment re winners/leaders dragging up the levels of performance from others. However, don’t think it should require a Griffiths level of player to do that. Anyone with any leadership skills whatsoever would do that for us. Unfortunately we haven’t signed any of those for about 4 years - more woeful recruitment. Griffiths being furious at some of the shite he saw v East Fife was refreshing to watch
  2. 100% this. None of them look fit. The most a lot of them can muster is a jog, running through treacle. It’s embarrassing.
  3. Steward with the fist pump. Love that Tbf! FullSizeRender.mov
  4. An absolutely perfect day for us. A result which pulls us away from bottom 2, which is currently the performance level we’ve been operating at for 5 months. A performance that continues to confirm, to the board, that Rennie is getting absolutely zero out of this squad, and doesn’t have long left (maybe 2/3 games) before they can turn to each other and say right, the hunt for the next manager starts now.
  5. I agree. Williamson played in a back 4 last season that ended up scooshing the league, McCann played in a 4 with Airdrie who were decent defensively, consistently had our number, and finished above us in the league. Of course that may be down to having 2 good Centre backs, not sure.
  6. That was a belter that, after we’d been swatted aside by Cove at home if I remember correctly . An absolute loser that guy
  7. Given the shitebag antics of Williamson last night, and the last throw of the dice nature of the game on Saturday, surely it’s time to deploy our secret weapon? Jaime Wilson at right wing back
  8. Tbf there’s defo something in that. They’ve shown themselves up on twitter big time the last few months - not looked favourably upon by football people I can tell you that much. Dowds has come back to us, probably when he didn’t want to, and has outworked and outplayed everyone in our team who are fighting for their playing careers. He deserves the move to arbroath or the prem and you won’t find a falkirk fan saying otherwise. Quite why you don’t believe that is strange behaviour.
  9. Whatever strike force we manage to muster up next season, it will not be as good as Griffiths, Dowds, Kabia.
  10. Long post incoming. Felt worse after that than the QP 6-0. I hate using the word but I was ashamed at everything tonight. Watched on Falkirk TV, so first thing’s first, the commentary. Self pitying shite with a dose of unprofessionalism with comments about the referee too. As said previously, it is an attitude I do not like about the club that I hope others do not share. Rennie’s post match interview after Airdrie I think it was was of similar vein - it was all the ref’s fault. Well, the game itself. Is it an exaggeration to say the worst performance I’ve ever seen from us given we didn’t actually lose the game? Maybe. But a part time team have just came to TFS, presumably with 1 training session between the Airdrie game and tonight and a sizeable injury list, and completely outplayed and outfought everyone in our team. They were quicker, smarter, more skilled, and had far better shape than we did. Why is that? Trolls like random guy can come here and say it’s the fans fault, as we shouldn’t expect better than that. Laughable. As I said after Cove, we have a core of 12 or so who should comfortably battle it out with any team in the league. Mutch - been excellent since his injury. Saved us again tonight Williamson - literally played for the team that pissed on the league last year. Paul Watson - meh defender but decent enough for this level. Performances haven’t dropped that much since his first spell with us. Leon McCann - airdrie player of the year (last year?), I like him. Gets played once every 3 weeks. Mills - young tall kid, looked good tonight in only his second game. Was dropped for brad fucking McKay for 3/4 weeks. Dixon/ATS - jury out. I’d suggest adequate cover at this level. Nesbitt - ridiculously good for his first month with us. Hasn’t done it since. Jury out I guess Morrison - still contend he is a weapon at this level. Quick and his final product particularly shooting isn’t as bad as some make out Telfer - skillful player who’d do well behind the front 2. Played about 6 yards in front of the Centre half! Hetherington - been a let down, but when we got him from Alloa they guaranteed we’d be getting a player. After years of watching him for them, were they wrong? Or is it far more likely that, for some reason, he just hasn’t done it for us yet? Kabia - serious player. Pace is frightening with some touch too. Knows where the net is. Hope his injury isn’t serious Dowds - baller, another one who’ll be off to at least 1 league higher in the summer Griffiths - has looked pretty guff but had been starting games for Dundee first half of the season. If you don’t think, with any sort of service at all, he wouldn’t score barrels of goals in L1 you need your head checked. This is before we get to the fact that Rennie was given the funds to sign 6 players, including a bank breaking LG, and has had 2 months to sort any problems given the loan window doesn’t end til next week. I would love to be wrong, but I’ve seen enough. I struggle to see him as anything other than a youth coach. Much like Cones and M&M. His interviews are as deluded as the end of Cones’s reign - eg, Peterhead coming here and sitting in. What a disrespectful attitude. They came here and deserved to win, playing better football. Sacking him now would be ludicrous, obviously, but the board have played a blinder getting him on a 6 month contract (despite the appointment itself looking like a gamble that hasn’t worked). Final point - this may be controversial. Imo we haven’t looked like a football team since McKinnon. Sure, his reign wasn’t good, but I think he was the last guy we had who could be labeled an actual manager of a professional football team. Which leads me to say the Summer appointment needs to be an older head, who has actually managed at a level. The list of names will be grizzly (Jim McIntyre anyone), but we’ll have to grin and bear that, as we’ve tried the young football “coaches”, with no success.
  11. Worried that that is still an attitude at the club. Complaining about the ref should be so far from anyone at the club’s mind. Concentrate on ourselves.
  12. Difficult when they’re outnumbered 3 to 5 (every game)
  13. 5 defenders and Gary Miller in the middle of the park it seems
  14. Because so far they’ve come with a very rigid plan of how we should play. Our 3 wins have come despite that formation, not because of it. If adaptations aren’t made soon then the tide will turn quickly
  15. I'm sorry but why is she utterly raging about having to repeal these restrictions? We have never ever been in a better place with this virus. A time to rejoice. But nah, she's clearly visibly fuming
  16. Think that's harsh, when he has any sort of confidence I think he's an effective player for us. When he's low in confidence however (like the last few months) his game goes to pot
  17. Telfer has 2 assists per season for the last 2 seasons - 5 so far this season. 3 Goals this season with 4 in each previous season. Small numbers for a guy who'd be in the country's top league if not for us (Lol). Someone like Morrison is a far more important player to us than Telfer has ever been.
  18. For all the other stuff Starmer does reasonably well I cannot bring myself to like a man who has been so consistently wrong on the single biggest issue that has ever affected my life. I am the definition of politically homeless atm. Enjoying the utter p***k of a man, Boris Johnson, handing these unintelligent control freaks their arse to them...
  19. As a guy who has little to zero future in professional football, I actually respect him trying to create a brand/something that will help him when that ends (soon). Genuinely more power to him, it’s smart.
  20. Watched Peterhead against Dundee and thought they were good, and by all accounts been a bit unlucky last few games. If we get our front 3 (Im certain Rennie will play them all) firing we could win but think this’ll be a tough game for us, can see a high scoring loss
  21. If the fear is that Rennie is a bit pish then a 6 month deal is a very clever deal by the new bod. Don’t know why a short contract “doesn’t make sense” - old board would’ve given him a 3 year deal after his first win and we’d be stuck paying out 100k or something in the summer (if he does turn out poor, not guaranteed yet)
