  1. Exactly. And of the current crop, if they were all released tomorrow, I bet R Williamson, Watson, McCann, Mcguffie, Nesbitt, Hetherington (debatable), Telfer, Morrison, Kabia, Dowds, Griffiths, will play at a team currently above us in the pyramid. Sure, in their current form, our team is an utterly gutless bunch, but it is successive atrocious managers that means we are as bad as we are.
  2. I've watched that about 5 times and I literally have no idea what I'm meant to be seeing there. Tragic how gullible some people are.
  3. Don’t think Rennie’s recruitment has been poor at all. Indeed, if you’d offered those players plus dowds he signed in January, I would’ve really fancied us. Lots of revisionism on here about what we thought we needed. People saying the midfield was a priority. It wasn’t. Everyone (including myself) stated we needed at least a striker and 2 Centre backs. It’s only since we’ve signed some competent ones of those has the problem of the midfield been realised. Which makes it all the more galling that we are genuinely far worse than we were under Sheerin. Appalling management.
  4. Mcintyre with Kerr as assistant? Would’ve said no thanks a couple years ago but seems a fairly attractive proposition given what we’ve recently endured
  5. Just seen this on twitter.....I’ve seen u15 boys play with more accuracy and speed. Fucking pathetic charlatans. Whilst the coach stands by motionless.
  6. Will never happen but imagine having Houstie back
  7. Rennie staying would obv be an awful decision. However, he won't be here past October/November anyway. Results will be very poor and he'd start the season with zero good will
  8. See you next season when we win 2 games in a row in August or something.
  9. As someone in the comments pointed out, zero covid SAGE are now more anti vax than actual anti vaxxers. They've at least moved on to other things.
  10. (This isn't applicable if people are struggling financially) Don't quite get how people could have sat through years and years of shite, whilst being hated by the people their money was going to, and decide that now, when the new board have been in for 5 minutes, is the time to stop supporting the club? IMO you have to have more about yourself than that.
  11. So not safe now, but safe in a few days/weeks? I'm afraid her brain has become even more melted from Covid than I thought.
  12. Exactly. I think the whole time we’ve been down here you’ve owned us and you’ve looked roughly the same team each time. Maybe a quality addition or 2 this year to take you to that next level. I do not believe that Falkirk fans should be willing to accept 5th/6th in the league, 21 points off second place. I don’t think ANY manager can come in and get us fighting for 1st next season. But properly in the playoff mix, with the odd actual result against someone that isn’t Dumbarton or East Fife, would keep most fans happy, after the utter shit we’ve been served up from 2 awful coaches
  13. When Rice’s name came up in Nov/Dec I objected due to his past and the fact we are a basket case of a club. I thought that = a bad mix. Looks like I was wrong sadly. Basically impossible to have done a worse job than Rennie
  14. Seems like the sort of role Deans et al would wrongly neglect to have Tbf
  15. Wouldn’t be surprised if we “do a 2021” and just crumble away, picking up at most a point or 2. Players know they won’t be here, management probably do too
  16. This was the vaguely realistic list I drew up Jim Mcintyre John Mcglynn Tommy Wright Allan Johnstone Peter Houston (would be ever come back? Probably not) Darren Young Danny Lennon Jim Duffy Ian Murray (probably would never come)
  17. Does anyone believe/demand that? We are no longer competitive with Cove, Airdrie, Montrose, Queens Park. Peterhead have looked a far better team than us twice in a row. We can no longer beat Clyde. A mild uptick in performances and results (similar to the instant impact Rice has made on a worse Alloa squad than ours) would now be acceptable to almost all Falkirk fans, including myself.
  18. If Airdrie go up we’d obviously have zero chance of getting him. Others would probably be in for him or he’d want a crack at the Champ with Airdrie. That’s a much more attractive proposition than coming to us. However, if Airdrie don’t manage to get up, there’s a chance he might think he’s taken Airdrie as far as he can. Close last year, close again this year, but no cigar - especially with a tougher team coming down from the champ and Kelty, alloa and queens park probably stronger next year. A decent transfer budget and higher personal wages may entice him. The probability is that it wouldn’t, however.
  19. Where did I say our structure isn’t a mess? We are the worst run and worst full time team, possibly in the world.
  20. The “big club” stuff is just abstract nonsense. Doesn’t mean anything. What is important in football is budgets and potential. I know you believe Rennie has done okay, I think his time has been a disgrace. Almost all of this squad will go on to play for teams higher than us in the league currently. Will be surprised if I’m wrong
  21. There are far fewer football manager jobs than there are football managers. Just by chance I was sat next to a fairly recent ex falkirk management team member at another game, on the day of our 6-0 drubbing by Queens Park. I joked to him if he wanted a crack at the job that’s about to be available, noting no one on earth would want the job. He replied there’d be absolutely zero shortage of applicants.
  22. If you believe the truth is arrogance, that is your problem, not ours. Do you think Man City are good because they fostered a great team spirit over half a decade? In general. I’m afraid to say, clubs with more money will finish higher than teams with less money.
