  1. Can’t help but be depressed about Holt whenever I think of falkirk. He’s been here since what, December. Failed miserably last transfer window where MCCall excelled. We then play another 10 or so games with Keena up top on his own, who’s now injured. In that time Holt seems to have simply not realized we need to recruit a striker. Even Robertson and Wilson seem like after thoughts, with neither anywhere near the standard required.

Also, despite disagreeing with the decision, I’m almost glad the board rejected the 600k ish+get holt out deal. They’ve really shot themselves in the foot with that one. If we start poorly/averagely then they have nowhere to hide. None of the usual “we couldn’t match the wages of x club so couldn’t bring our desired player in” will now cut it. They’d just turned down cold cash that would’ve made those signings possible. With fans back in grounds they may be in for a shock

Aye. If the next 4 signings are strong it makes the Seb Ross signing more acceptable as someone with potential Sheerin believes he can develop. But if we see 3/4 signings of that ilk then we are in major trouble. Terrified to see Wilson announced next week.

On another note, Deans for me should be gone. I was yelling at my screen as he came away with being scared of M&M’s recruitment last season. So were we but you were in a position to do something about it.

I’m passed that stage now. When we signed Nesbitt, McKay etc I’d hoped that  was the easy, “safe” signings that we probs need for the squad, but wouldn’t be on a huge wage. What I think is actually the case however, is that those were those “profiled” by Corr or whoever, and who Holt thinks he’s scouted. Further proof of this is the utter state of the diddies we’re now giving trials to. A strike force of Keena, dowds and Wilson, with Gary miller in Centre mid, McKay at CB, and a shaky Mutch could be.......4th at best

  3. We desperately need 2 strikers who are an improvement on what we have.

In saying that, there is some knicker wetting going on imo. The worst management team in professional football and the worst squad in my lifetime were 10 points clear of that cove shite for months. The standard is terrible. This squad shouldn’t be worse, and the management can’t be worse (I think Grainger is a real coup). No one has anything “sewn up” yet

What other club before the top flight has 3 bloody strips?  It's ok if you don't have kids that want all the new kit . Having 3 strips costs parents a bloody fortune. Anyway if it was going to make us a pile of cash we'd have been doing it long before now that's for sure.

You’ve both created the idea that Falkirk are having a 3rd kit this season, and are raging at the fact they’re doing it?!

Seems strange to have two blue strips as you say. Peterhead are another blue team.  Wouldn't put it past them to rip off the fans and have a 3rd strip even though we're in division bloody 3.

Having a 3rd kit (if it made us a profit) would just be good business. That’s why loads of clubs worldwide have 3rd kits. Not sure it would be “ripping off the fans”.

Yeah he's a squad player inmho. Can create hold the ball up but not going to get you a pile of goals.

Judging by those pre season photos just released he looks like he needs a fitness programme too. Not judging too much as looks can be deceiving - he may be one of fittest in the squad, who knows

Back to this old shite. Are decent strikers who are guaranteed to get you 15-20 goals out there looking for clubs? In case you’re not sure, the answer is no. We are a league 1 team so we will be signing strikers with potential and hoping they kick on

The season before last we signed David McMillan and Declan McManus. Sure McMillan didn’t work out perfectly for us, but he’d scored goals everywhere he’d been before us. McManus was superb. To suggest all we can do is fish around in League 2 for a 19 year old is wrong imo
