Airdrie will definitely rest the majority of starters,  the likes of Gallagher's,  a Murray Aiken,  McCabe himself, ATS , Dunlop will probably play,  weakened yes but still decent players..

I have found our 2 home games against QP were very tight games which could have went either way,  a little surprised you have ended up at the wrong end of the league....

The player who impressed me most was the big RB from Celtic, McPherson is he one of the reasons for your drop off, he was quality..

Outwith an extremely poor 3 game period, the team have generally been fairy competent with spells of being very decent under Davidson. The unfortunate thing with those 3 defeats recently, because of the disastrous 1st half of the season under Veldman, any bad form would most likely lead to pretty big consequences given the timing of the season and unpredictability of the championship

Coincidentally, those 3 defeats so happened to occur when Thomas was injured. Without his influence on the pitch, we’re a totally different side from back to front and it’s concerning how much reliance is on him at times. The goals he scored yesterday typified how brilliant he is though.

Realistically, if we can’t beat a potentially 2nd string Airdrie side with nothing to play, when everything is on the line for us then we deserve 9th if that ends up being the outcome

  2. Note to Davidson. Do not leave Sheridan on the bench in future. Another superb showing from the big man, think he’s definitely warranted an extension for next season now

In our own hands now against hopefully a 2nd string Airdrie. Still won’t be easy but I think we can do it

All the best to Arbroath. Hopefully we don’t join you next season but that must be horrific viewing watching that all season. Looked a league 2 side

  3. I’ll reserve my full judgement on Davidson until the end of the season. Davidson joined at a period where I would have been delighted with 9th place, the team was that bad and it still needs serious surgery regardless of what league we’re in next season. An initial immediate upwards trajectory was seen when he was appointed and given the nature of the championship and ability throughout our squad, patches of poor form were still inevitable. It’s just elevated a lot more given the timing it’s came at

We’ll learn more about Davidson this time next weekend. The biggest game in the pro era against an already relegated side on horrendous form. Fail to win and questions will begin to raise and probably rightly so. I do think there’s still a distinct lack of quality in certain areas of the team and the lack of effective depth has been a consistent issue the entire season. Having to rely on a single player today (Thomas did not look fit to me, felt like he was playing through the injury) to allow a squad to play at a remotely competent level is extremely concerning and cannot continue like that in the new season as it’s simply not sustainable(also losing savoury for all of this season has been massive and it’s on beuker for not replacing him appropriately) The reliance on Thomas has been ridiculous and it’s been shown up badly in recent weeks. Summer recruitment was mental

Arbroath and hopefully a 2nd string Airdrie side to finish the season off. Take 6 points from this and I think we finish 8th (please)

How was the undroppable McKinstry today?

I actually thought he had a decent 2nd half, arguably his best showing (which is a very low bar admittedly). Took control of the attacks and showed some decent composure. Little bit soft in the challenge a bit too often for my liking but he seems best in the centre of midfield

Mauchin and Fox had solid performances also

  5. Better than previous weeks but still not enough at this stage of the season. We upped the tempo 2nd half and got in some decent areas but decision making let us down

Win at Arbroath next week and Inverness fail to win at Dunfermline. Very much realistic. Please do us a favour Dunfermline 🙏

  6. There really isn’t any excuse now, last night’s result was huge for us and provides a real opportunity. Continue to perform in the same manner as the previous 3 weeks, then we simply don’t deserve to be in the championship. A win today would be huge considering the next 2 fixtures are against an already relegated Arbroath and a potential 2nd string Airdrie

  7. It all stems back from the utter calamity Beuker placed the club with his moronic recruitment policy last summer. January window you can only do so much and Davidson has done a decent job with the limited time to create a team that’s remotely competent at championship level. With Thomas injured, McPherson crocked, it means your turner’s, longridge are undroppable despite form due to a lack of quantity and quality on the bench. You lose longridge at right back and it’s Mauchin who plays, who for me doesn’t look ready at this level at all yet. Take turner and you’ve got…Mckinstry? Carse ? We simply get weaker

We have to get to summer as a championship club. It may have to be through the play offs. Give Davidson a full summer to bin players and add his own guys and I’m confident next season will be a lot better. Issue is getting through this season with zero consequences 😕

That was an absolute disgrace from a Queen’s Park perspective. Turner’s clearly chucked it. Carse looked like a lost boy. Tizzard over Robson or Bannon? Was he serious?

The inclusion of Tizzard was baffling. Hasn’t been seen for around 2 months and he’s chucked in for the biggest game of the season? He looked very poor and was rightly hooked, as was Carse who looked a wee boy on the pitch. Should of been Robson from the start as the left sided centre back

  9. A total shambles from start to finish. Inverness fully deserved the win and they should have buried the game with that Mckay chance. Forcing Ridgers in to one proper save in a must win (or must not lose depends how you view it) is beyond pathetic and I think we’ve confirmed ourselves for a playoff spot now. Obviously it’s only 2 points but the manner of the last 3 games has been so bad that you struggle to see where the next 3 points are coming from

We’re in a situation now where we’re relying on one player to dig us out a hole when (if) he comes back from injury. Horrendous that it’s came to this scenario but here we are. The shambles left under beuker and Veldman means any bad form under Davidson will have serious consequences and unfortunately it’s became a reality at the worst point in the season

Davidson needs to learn to change things up sooner but the players were god awful. Again, we struggled to do the absolute basics in terms of passing, movement etc. Do I back ourselves to beat an Alloa, Hamilton or Montrose in the playoffs? Not a chance

An embarrassing shambles of a Queen's performance. For the first time since his arrival I find myself questioning Davidson's decision making. That starting line-up left a huge hole where most teams would have a midfield. Unbelievably things got even worse after the substitutions. Anyone who says "bad day at the office" or "free hit" should be banned from Hampden.

Davidson’s lineup wasn’t great but that’s all on the players today for me. Some of the passing and composure on the ball wouldn’t be accepted at Sunday league level, it was beyond embarrassing

A number of players have certainly potentially played their way out the team for next week. Mental how poor we look without Dom Thomas, praying he’s back for next week

  11. Not that I expected to win today but that was up there with one of the most gutless and spineless performances in a long long time, and we seen some bad stuff under Veldman

I’ve given the players a lot of credit over the last couple months, but the last two performances have been unacceptable. Mckinstry should never see the field again for qp, an absolute waste of a jersey and has been from the moment he joined. Jack turner seriously needs to buck up his ideas if he’s going to be about next season, genuinely can’t think of a worse opening 15-20 mins from a player in the first half in a while, miles off it and has been for months

Lovely cross from Longridge for the opener, I think he's been a very decent player for us at this level, imo he's been harshly criticised by some of our support, he always puts in a shift wherever he's asked to play but also fair play to Mauchin when he came on thought he had a positive impact as well as McLeish

This season has probably been the most reliable and consistent version of longridge throughout his whole time with us. A career littered with inconsistent performances but fair play to him as he’s actually a very capable right back nowadays. He’s not a winger anymore and he’s passable in central midfield but right back is where he’s best at. If he’s to be an option in that particular area, I’d be happy to offer him another deal for next season

  13. Buzzing with that victory. Not only are the 3 points invaluable but the overall performance was superb outwith a sloppy opening 10 minutes to the 2nd half. Our press was excellent, we were aggressive and seen out the game efficiently once Ayr pulled a goal back. Watching us nowadays, it almost makes me more raging that we had to put with that utter shambles under Veldman first half of the season. We look a really decent championship outfit now

So many shouts for MOTM but i think it would be a toss up between Sheridan and Wilson. Wilson for me is the best centre back in the division. Was excited but apprehensive when he signed as you’ve not really heard his name for a few years given he’s been in the MLS and you’re worried if he has the legs/enthusiasm to play in the championship but he really is top class. Could easily fit himself in a Scottish premiership side if he wanted to. Josh Scott was once again superb at left back also

Ayr were very poor. Their insistence to play out from the back was odd considering they got caught out by our press on numerous occasions. Even after they scored, they really posed zero threat. Mental how finished McGeady looks. Seemed overweight and totally disinterested.

Still work to do but I just can’t see us getting relegated or finishing 9th. We’ve got a decent run of fixtures towards the end of the season and the team are full of confidence. If we can get a result at Morton next week and Inverness fail to win, I think we’ll be okay

Astounding Inverness let him go mid season. I get his horrid injury record and probably being one of the higher earners but to give him away for nothing to a relegation rival is crazy. It seemed odd at the time he signed and looks even worse now. He’s totally reinvigorated the midfield and he’s played almost every minute (missed one game via red card)

Fair play to him, never saw anything like that for us or ICT. Is it him and Paton working so well together?

The partnership is tremendous but I do think an aspect of Sheridan’s form is being given a proper chance from the start of games. A quick glance and Sheridan made zero starts for Inverness in the league and only 5 across a couple of season at yourselves. Granted you still need to prove your worth when coming off the bench, a manager showing legitimate faith in him seems to be paying dividends
