Would take a rumour of a signing now,

I'm sure the club will be trying to get bodies in , Mcinroy first I would hope.

But the thing we always forget is its not just enough for the club to approach a player , they have to want to come to us first! Being on a good run helps,  as does having boys like mccabe in the team, but ultimately whats the draw of coming to airdrie over someone like Ayr or morton? Or in out league anyone else around us! Sad state of affairs,  but we're hardly a big team , even in our league we're probably fair down the pecking order in terms of budget etc

  2. It's worth mentioning the performance of Agnew over the past month or so ! Hasn't done much wrong and has always been there to calm things down. IF mcinroy goes and kerr is back fit , would be a straight swap of mccabe slotting into midfield.

Praying mcinroy stays for obvious reasons , but our midfield is pretty solid! And who knows Jordan Allan might run riot for the rest of the season !

  3. As many others have pointed out, the whole "I'm ITK and I'll tell you wee bits and not everything" is just a bit weird.

If Murray goes then fine, I don't know how 4 days in advance you can say "big shock coming on Wednesday" , Would Ayr need to wait for the bank holiday to end so they could go in and physically withdraw the £25 quid compensation we would get ?

Speculation is good banter , and hearing the odd "theres a rumour we are after..." is just terracing talk. But this ITK stuff is just an ego trip , so either tell the full story or stop being weird !

Mmmm it's beginning to look like a new manager maybe required as Ayr Diamond is rarely wrong.(Yes I know he has only hinted at a "shock" about to occur)

On the face of it, a risky move for IM as Ayr look certain to be involved in a relegation battle and he could be out of a job in 5 months time if that happened. His stock would be a lot higher if he could get us promotion but of course you can't deny anyone a substantial wage rise.

Ayr diamond is rarely wrong ? Did you not see the list of all the times he was wrong ? Haha

I'd rather go with the bookies are rarely wrong , and Murray is nowhere to be seen on the bookies list !

Ah well thank you for that insight. I was unaware of that. I take it you were booing then?

You can appreciate how one would simply link the events tonight with past events regarding Rico. Fans sitting near me were certainly under that impression.

Nope , but fire in with your assumptions you seem to be looking for an argument! Good stuff.

I did laugh and call him a fanni3 when he punched the ground like a silly wee boy ! Take it you thought that was brilliant from him ? Showed real maturity and we should sign ASAP ?

See I can jump to conclusions as well...

Simply because he demonstrated support for his brother who was subject to racial abuse by an Airdrie supporter.

Some absolute morons seem to think that Jai Quitongo has done wrong here. Those morons fail to realise that they are not the victims in this scenario.

    No , sorry.

See I'm a super leftie , absolutely supported Rico during the debacle that followed his coming out after being allegedly racially abused.

But jai was being booed etc for his alleged abuse of his partner. And to be fair once he got on the park he seemed a bit of D**k. And rightly or wrongly,  its the same abuse goodwillie gets etc

So please don't make this about race or Rico. Had nothing to do with that.

What does Rico want now, that is the big question....    If he cannot provide any further evidence to backup the incident further,    The club has stated the case is closed, insufficient evidence....     Why is that so hard to comprehend,   The lefties amongst our posters are not happy and never will be in this world......

He probably wants support and for folk not to instantly turn on him just because in their opinion it's "case closed"  and maybe just people to have a bit of understand about how sensitive a subject this is.

Not saying I understand either to be honest , and we will probably never know the truth , but if I'm a "lefty" for hoping for a better reaction in 2021 from our supporters over an issue like this and for the club to put out something better than a statement that looks like it's been written by robot working for the daily mail then fair enough.

  8. So there's folk on here obviously think Rico is "at it" or made it up or whatever.

Why would he do that ? Honest answers , folk haven't believed him from that start , so why would he lie ? Or someone lie about thier own fans?

And if there's folk on here that are angry that he's still upset by what he feels is the lack of a proper investigation ( im not saying it was proper or not) then why is he a "rat" for that ? Why you all so angry that he's unhappy ? It's a weird mentality! The club might feel vindicated but he doesn't,  so why is that vitriol worthy?

It still seems to me people are desprate for it to be true.

What if Rico has misheard? He deserves support from the club & fans but if there is no concrete evidence what can be done?

I've found the whole situation strange from sart to finish.

But by the same token there's folk on here desperate for Rico to be at fault.

What I don't understand is , if he misheard , there's still an avenue for a good resolution,  while supporting Rico.

There's folk here desperate for it to Rico making it up , but why would he ? And if he wanted to make it up why target his own fans paying his wages ?

The statement from the club is awful,  and doesn't help anything! And we've now probably lost another player in a season where we need bodies to keep up this momentum and had the club in the papers for the wrong reason. Whole thing just hasn't been dealt in a good way , either by the club , us as fans and you could argue Rico as well if he's went to the press before the club (I'm not sure what order it came but I don't think we knee about it till the BBC put a story up) the whole things just been a bit embarrassing for so many reasons

  10. Have to agreed with the doom and gloom here....

I've just not seen anything to get excited about. If you look tactically at the difference between how Falkirk dealt with their sending off compared to us , it was night and day. They brought on another striker to block us from playing from the back. Where as against Dumbarton we went into full panic mode and made some bizarre subs.

I don't think our squad is too far away , and will he good to see when salim is back and fully fit what shape we go to . But for me , Murray just doesn't have it and hasn't shown anything to prove me otherwise. Our second position finish last year probably flatters us a bit.

On another note , if Gal doesn't score this weekend he needs benched. Always liked him but he's clearly not producing the goods.

Makes you wonder my favourate is the pre planed goal kicks specially with the coaches very cunning plan of every outfield player moving to one side of the pitch to watch the ball sail out of play ♦️

    I've never understood this.

It's even worse when everyone moves to one side , and there's one player at the opposite side of the pitch in acres of space...but never is an attempt made to fire the ball at him. Instead , like you say , it's a blooter out the park.

I couldn't care less about what strip we wear, however I have, as should be clearly evident from the last ten pages or so of this thread, been and continue to be absolutely scathing with my criticism of this year's signing policies, both in terms of the quality of players signed and moreso now on the really quite concerning lack of numbers. If we were being honest and realistic there is no way that even our strongest team currently is going to be competing at the top and any kind of injury crisis could honestly have us right in the thick of it at the murky end of things. People have been saying for weeks now that loan signings and trialists will bulk things out, there's no sign of either and we're a week and a half away from the first league game of the season where we are running a real risk of the embarrassment of not even being able to have a bench against a Montrose team, who if they play to anything like the same standard as last year will utterly gub us! If the plan is was to put together a small squad filled with quality, it has failed spectacularly on both counts so far. So yeah, I'm really concerned about things on the pitch.

100 percent agree re:signings , hardly marquee signings...

But who else could we sign on the budget we have ? What 20 goal a season striker from Scottish football could we sign ? Seriously asking , who would be realistic targets for a club our size ? We've just not got the money or incentives to being in anyone of real quality and as sad as it is , that's where we are now.

But general question for anyone realistically what level of players should we be signing? Folk on here lose their heeds of its someone from the same league , so championship? Who from the championship would want to come ?

Folk actually getting worked up at us wearing our away strip. 😂

I've long suspected that some of the biggest whingers on this page are just kids, I think this pretty much confirms that suspicion.

BUT if I’ve got it wrong and you’re an adult moaning about which strip we're wearing, then I'd suggest you need to take a long look in the mirror. Jesus Christ!! 😂😂😂

Careful mate , might get accused of "happy clapping" or "attacking the fans" if you call out daftness.

And wouldn't be surprised if it wasnt kids , older boy behind me on Saturday moaned at every single touch of the ball we had. He was mid moan during the run through o  goal that got us the penalty. As far back as I can remember we've always been a moaning bunch but it's all getting a bit silly now !
