I haven't heard of half of these names. So can't pass judgment on their ability. But assuming you have so what are they like ?

how many player/managers have lasted more than 6 months these days? They either get sacked or commit to being a player or a manager it never seems to work out..

Giving Rhys the job means for the first season in ages we aren't wholesale rebuilding the squad. In terms of players we had on our books last year. Aggy (who folk for some reason hated) is gone , Easton is away which is a huge loss but expected cause dafties voted him player of the year and Currie , who we seem to have improved on.
Not exactly a shambles.
When we get beat 6-0 off Peterhead first game of the season...now that's shambles

I can understand folk being unsure about a young manager but how exactly does that make it a "shambles" ? Is it a gamble? Aye probably, but a "shambles" Holy moly folk on here dramatic.

I was actually looking at the signings from last year. Was surprised how many came in after the NL tournament thingy. Folk make out we had our full squad in place by then but we didn't really.

Jim Mcinally at Peterhead says there seems to be "fewer players" around in the current market.
I'd disagree that most names have some substance.
There's literally folk just saying things like "I've always liked X player" and then 3 posts later you get.
"X player has signed for someone else, can't believe the club didn't sign him"
That then gets labelled as a player we've failed to get and folk get angry for no reason over it , when the club probably haven't went for them in the first place. I know it's silly season but as @airdrieman said , it's just lads posting on here or Facebook.
I love a good bit of speculation and rumour but for folk to then get huffy because we've not went for a player we were never in for is just bizarre.

Mendy has been purely fan speculation, as folk have said multiple times , he's in France so it was not him in the training photos.

Hutton the only goal keeper in the photos and no Josh Rae as was suggested by a few other posters on here.
Good to see the core of the squad back in pre season, squad looking ridiculously thin but hoping that we strengthen in the next few weeks.
Think Gal is part time so he maybe wouldn't be there today.
As much as it pains me to say it , it might be tomorrow or Thursday before we see any signings if lads are on trial this week. Providing they are good.

Again , if those targets wanted to sign. You can identify folk all you want but if they want too much money or don't want to come to us then what can we do ? You make it sound so simple, I don't understand that logic.
For all we know the club have tried to bring in players like Grant savoury etc but have lost out to clubs that offered more money , from higher leagues or maybe clubs that aren't currently involved in an embarrassing employment tribunal! One that may have a an impact on our budget if it doesn't go our way (not sure if theres money involved)
Last year we acted quickly but it was for players who were a gamble , Mccabe , Frizz and Easton all came with injury risks and we're maybe not as well sought after by other clubs.

Just asking how we can pass judgement on players we've never seen before ? We do this every year , get raging before we even get a chance to be raging about something. What big name signing should we be bringing in ? We've kept players from the team of the season from last year and added one. Two strikers with 16 + goals from last year. Why is everyone so doom and gloom ?
