  1. With the talk of Morgan going, and speculation about McGinn too, got me thinking... Was there ever a time where Kenny McLean, Kyle McAllister, Kyle Magennis, John McGinn and Lewis Morgan were all at the club? If so, who was the manager, and what was our regular midfield at that time? I realise that the Kyles would have been very young when McLean was there, but given how rubbish we were for the last few years maybe we should have given them a chance earlier?
  2. For the first 60 minutes today, Morgan was absolutely superb.
  3. At least they're consistent. A few Saints fans watch the game standing up and the stewards threaten to chuck them out on health and safety grounds. 1,600 Old Firm fans watch standing up.... no problemo!
  4. There are elements of his play in that video that show he could play a similar role. Nothing against Leitch, but Morgan is pretty special, and I don't think we can expect to replace him. I hope for Leitch's sake people don't see him as that.
  5. Where does he play - and I don't want any answers along the lines of 'Paisley'!
  6. Ah, apologies. Usually when Morton fans come to Saints threads for a visit it's because something bad is happening for us. I guess it's those types you're looking to avoid, and if so, yeah, this is probably a safe refuge from them!
  7. Two games for Scotland's U21s - two MotM awards - the second against Holland U21s. Looking by a country mile the best player in the division. He's strong, fast, skillful, can create and score goals. Also has first class attitude and workrate. In the current crazy market I'd be astonished (and disappointed) if the figure is anywhere near £250k.
  8. Yip, I'll be going along, and looking forward to seeing a Fringe 11 all trying to fight their way in to the team for the game against ICT!
  9. Bill Leckie is a Saints fan with a big soft spot for Dunfermline. OF COURSE he's going to support Houston!
  10. Are you sure it's the same bloke? Quite a common surname in these parts,..
  11. Given Hilson and Magennis have been missing since the start of the season, and we had three tough looking games to begin with, I think we have to be pretty happy with 6 points. A win would be brilliant on Saturday, but all things considered a draw wouldn't be too bad.
  12. That is just nonsense. The only consistent bias in Scottish football is towards Rangers and Celtic. Yes, they are both 'west coast', but that is NOT why they get favourable decisions from the officials.
  13. Please. Don't remind us of St Mirren from this time last season!
  14. My my that was rather enjoyable. Really did not expect that at half time, but a superb performance from Saints in the second half and a thoroughly deserved win in the end. Well played the players and management. Special mentions to Reilly and Irvine who I thought both had excellent games.
  15. Falkirk started really well, though what a shocking gift we gave them. Saints came in to it later in the half and scored a good goal. Falkirk look a bigger stronger team, and I can't help thinking Saints could end up going down to 10. Even if we keep 11 though I think if there's a winner Falkirk are looking thfor mk for the likely.
  16. Has he not gone anywhere then, just 'contract terminated'?
  17. Was there not an epic (online) Saints v Falkirk episode over Duffy years ago. Even if only for that reason, I hope he goes to Ayr.
