  1. Arbroath are like prime Barca tika taka compared to Greece 2004. And I was in Greece from the quarters, and celebrated their bus parking and set piece robbery like my middle name was Yiannis.
  2. I'm seeing an 18.13 for Stranraer that we're planning to get but no mention of cancelled 18.27?
  3. I teach in Dundee. Any of my wee ones who have parents turning up late for 3.15 finish... Mad rush to the train
  4. That's why we decided to stay over . Need to be on the 21.57 to Glasgow in order to make the last train north. So it would mean a fast walk/jog after the game, depending on time added on. We'll also get to see my mum by staying over. We can get the 22.31 from Killie now, getting off at Stewarton Hopefully after lifting a trophy
  5. Aye, we're going to stay over with family as it's just about doable after the match, but only as far as Dundee and arriving at 00.38.
  6. Getting excited. But not looking forward much to being probably the only 2 Killie fans on a train from Dundee that might be quite busy with Arbroath fans
  7. Came to Dundee Uni at 18. Born and bred Ayrshire. Lived in Stewarton ; brilliant place to grow up. Rugby Park from 4 years old. Worked in England for 4 years then back to Dundee and never left. Met my wife here and have 2 kids. Love living in Broughty Ferry, love our days in Arbroath. Hope we pump you, obvs.
  8. I'm going to do a fess up that I will probably regret. Myself and my wee boy have been going to Arbroath every Saturday afternoon for the past 2 years as he has guitar and singing lessons. Love it. Buy the best fish the world has to offer every week. Great sweetie shop. Better Lidl than Dundee. Nice people. Including my dental hygienist lady who is lovely and a huge Arbroath fan. But get it right up you all and hopefully you're all up the road on Friday with tears running down your smokie faces. No offence, like. And if you see a wee boy with a guitar on his back and his dad wandering to lessons this Saturday... feel free to congratulate/get it right up us too ️ Enjoy your trip everyone.
  9. Wait. I've been doing it wrong. Diddy team thinking "KILLIE in secret talks to nab 6 Arbroath players on pre-contracts for top 6 push. McKenna spotted in Park Hotel."
  10. "County poised to swoop for hybrid squad star." "Harrogate set to hijack dream move."
  11. Your players hate Tam. Rift in the dressing room. Boasting about his pre-contract with Ross County. "I'm going up even if you lot don't." Allegedly.
  12. Unlike where we live, from the Ferry north to Arbroath, it's not coming in off the North Sea so it's still 11 degrees . It'll feel like a hairdryer on low
  13. Live in Broughty Ferry. Best we can do is getting back to Dundee at 00.38. Also means quick out the ground for a train to Glasgow at 21.57. The next one at half ten gets in to Glasgow too late for that last train north. Going to crash with the wee man at my mum's hoose. And no, you can't.
  14. I know! The excitement of the title race is honestly getting to me. To be within touching distance of being champions is quite tense Especially as we were dead and buried with no chance of a play off spot 3 weeks ago and now we've turned it around to narrowly lead the plucky hybrid squad! It's unbelievable, really.
  15. Certainly coming from a fan of a team featuring the Roman Catholic sign of benediction on their badge, it is.
  16. Hearing on Kickback that quite a few families have arrived already - making this their Easter break for the school holidays. Same for us - wee trip to Inverness for 2 nights following similar in Edinburgh last week. ICT and the whole town seeing the value of the blue and white pound this week. It's nice to be able to help struggling teams and their communities.
  17. I think you're underestimating the importance of the word 'hybrid' in this jibe. Thanks for the advice on getting to the game.
  18. Thanks for the advice. I can understand you hoping we have a shite time. The nice lady who sold me out tickets was a bit more like Sandy. Even said at the end that she hoped we enjoyed the game . Looking forward to the trip, the occasion, the food ( we've booked a couple of restaurants- Nar and Prime) and fingers crossed we are at least no worse off by the time Arbroath v Queens is finished. That would mean a point against Arbroath next week would see us as champions.
  19. Making a weekend of it with wife and kids. Taking wee boy to the game while the girls relax at the hotel. If walking from the city centre, what are we looking at to get to the stadium? Half an hour? Via Longman Road then Henderson Drive through what looks like an industrial estate? Or taxi if available? TIA for any heads up.
  20. Not if Arbroath can win at Thistle. Even if Arbroath came to Killie 6 behind, it'd still be all to play for with the prospect of taking it to the last day.
  21. Thistle May underestimate the fitness and ability of Arbroath by falling for the 'part time' myth emanating from the hybrid club.
  22. I have it on good authority that the alleged part-time players do all of their fitness work individually away from the ground, only doing ball work together as a squad, but effectively putting in as many hours as full time players. So they're not even just hybrid, they're actually a full time club working from home on shifts.
  23. Was that a 6th booking for O'Brien? Suspension? Or was one in the cup?
