I think the back up keeper also needs to be of decent quality, Mutch just wasn't pushed after PJ went back to Motherwell and M&M for whatever reason didn't want to put Cantley in.

If anything he will go back down south for the £££'s. I'd rather see us sign two decent forwards permanently though. Loans are ok but if the player does well it's a struggle to keep them beyond the season. McManus being the perfect example. Then your left scratching about trying to get a replacement in which doesn't always work for whatever reason ie Keena.

McKay will start every game unless he's injured, suspended or the notion after about ten games that he is indeed a bit dugshite, which might be sooner if he has the misfortune to play beside Hall.

That what I was about to say I hope he's not another Leitch. Agree with others on the two and three year contracts though, they have to work and the harsh reality is one or two probably won't. Don't know anything about this guy and probably the most underwhelming signing yet.

He's Alloa's problem now. There's not one of those away with the possible exception of Gomis instead of Hall that were worth keeping. If Dowds hasn't improved massively then you can see him becoming the new "big useless haddie" up front.

Your hoping the players we have signed in the midfield/wide areas will do the business for us, whilst I really wouldn't want Storey it wouldn't surprise me if McKay has been endorsing him to Sheerin who probably already knows him.

I only mentioned him as he's been freed, has Aberdeen connections, I wouldn't take him we already have Morrison who has pace but not much of an end product, and we really don't know if Nesbitt or Mcguffie will be similar. We need two forwards who can score goals.

They aren't the worst but aren't the best, I'd say marginally better than last year's. But the sponsor in red on home one let's it down, looks cheap, I'm not sure how much longer we are with Puma but the last couple of seasons the strips have been disappointing, there doesn't seem to have been much thought went into the design, I like the retro concept of the home but I just don't think it's quite there. As for the away it just looks like a generic puma design that I dare say other teams will be playing in.

You'd hope so, at least they aren't rushing into signing any old shite but by the same token it's not long till the competitive action starts.

Not sure if we are, we are probably looking at bringing two strikers in, we have been linked with Paton from Stranraer, would make sense if we are looking at Hester aswell but who knows.

Really need to see it in the flesh it looks really dark and with the stripes you can see where the Dunfermline reasoning is coming from. Last year's home was stinking and even in the flesh still was. The away one is meant to be rank but again need to see it fully.

On the striker front if I was Holt I'd be asking Martindale if Jack Hamilton is in his plans for this season.

Was the boy from Dumbarton Jaime Wilson not trialing with us. Seemed to be the general consensus with their fans that he'd knocked back a contract with them to go on trial with a full time club and we were that club.

If he's going to cost compensation then I can't see him joining us.

Agreed he looked every bit a lower league player. I'm not convinced by him at all, he's still young enough obviously, if we do keep him he needs to improve massively this season but as been mentioned he isn't going to score a lot. Big question mark over Keena too but more so can he keep fit. He showed in fleeting glimpses he can finish. But I certainly wouldn't be relying on either of them
