For me both him and Dowds I'd have serious concerns about, if they weren't under contract for this season I'd have let them both go. Seemingly someone mentioned on the COYB page he'd done his collarbone and is out for six weeks.

Hopefully a few trialists, be interesting to see if Keena features or is indeed out injured as has been rumoured.

Kinda gives you the fear about the initial four signings. McKay who ICT fans have said is murder, Nesbitt and Mcguffie hardly glowing references from Morton fans, ( I actually think these will be two sand dancers) Williamson who might be ok going forward but can't defend.

Age wise yes, I think Dixon will play centre half this season where he is equally as comfortable. At least I hope that's the case. He's a far better central defender than Hall. I really hope it's not Hall and McKay at centre half with Dixon as back up. I think McCann starts the season at left back you don't give him a three year deal to sit on the bench.

You can see it halfway through the season Clarke ePOS goes bust, we are sitting miles off the pace, skint, and bin the manager again, get the begging bowls out.

That's my fear I think any other investment could well be to save us. Hopefully won't come to that but this club is a mess and until the day comes when we are all singing from the same hymn sheet then I just don't see any significant forward progress. Deans can bleat all he wants but you can't force people to think positively when there's so much that is fractured.

He's the most underwhelming signing so far tbh, the rest have been "ok" with the two best signings probably McCann and Williamson. I don't for one minute think he's the type that will get is out the division, he's probably a jersey filler at best. We should still be up there at season end but no guarantees and Sheerin is probably taking as much of a gamble with his own career as the BoD and Holt have done if it goes tits up by appointing him. The difference being they are bulletproof.

The lot of them downed tools to become even worse than we had been been before the season stopped. We were absolutely ganting at East Fife that set the alarm bells ringing. A couple of fortuitous wins against Montrose and Forfar when we were rotten and then totally found out when Partick started to hit form. He's obviously not going to come out and say that but by f**k he's on crack if he thinks any different.

Dowds needs to improve massively if he's to even have a career at this level. I honestly can't see him being with us beyond this season, I just don't think he's good enough.

If he is injured it wouldn't be a surprise. But we needed two strikers anyway. Dowds isn't the answer

Hamilton is a horrific keeper, guaranteed at least -10 on your goal difference just having him between the sticks. I wouldn't be averse to Morrison coming back if we could get him.

I just hope Ross isn't an indicator of signings to come. The more I look at our squad it looks better than last year's on paper but it's still not convincing enough to have you feel really excited or confident.

On paper the signings we have made are "ok" with the exception of McCann who looks a good player, time will tell if they are going to cut it. There's none that make you think " now that could make a real difference" and the boy from Cove has to be the most underwhelming yet. Still time ofcourse for us to bring in better, and we also still have jobbers like Hall and Miller stinking the place out. We SHOULD be amongst the favourites to win it but we all know what happened last year. I think there will be another 5 or 6 still to come in from us, two of them need to be half decent strikers or we will struggle for goals again.

If we are to make some astute signings it needs to happen fairly soon, because none so far with the possible exception of taking Airdrie's best(or one of) player's get's you excited and sends a statement of intent. We still have jobbers like Hall, Miller.

Maybe they have signed Vigurs and Draper because Fyvie is on the move?

Looking through the league 1&2 top scorers from last season Hester from Elgin and Megginson from Cove both scored 14 league goals. Paton from Stranraer who we have been linked with scored 6 in 21 games with 1 assist. And looking through both lists there's about three or four from league 1 you would take but obviously no chance of getting them ie Megginson, Graham, Rudden and Goodwillie. I hope Sheerin has a couple of aces up his sleeve.
