If the rest are along the same vein as what we have then we are doing absolutely nothing this season bar maybe trying to avoid the playoffs at the bottom end.

The number 9 shirt will go to the striker from Aberdeen who can't score once they sign someone else. So we will have Keena, Dowds him and Wilson. Who collectively will get about 15 goals between them if we are lucky.

Well capable of beating Albion Rovers? you seem to forget Dowds is our only signed striker who's fit and with Gary Miller in the middle of the park and Hall at the back that's a leveller straight away.

Not in general no, but Houston signed some shite Joe McKee, Taylor Morgan, Alex Harris, John Rankin to name a few, granted he wasn't backed by the board as maybe he should have. Holt is supposed to have a few contacts. The signings so far suggest it's a load of pish.

There are/were players out there, Hamilton, Keatings, Todorov, McKay, and to a lesser extent Paton who has joined QoS. If we can afford to chuck a three year deal at Brad McKay surely we can attract someone to play in league 1 for a year who has been over the course instead of a loan kid from Aberdeen who hasn't scored a goal and two trialists who last season were at Forfar and Dumbarton. Yet it seems Holt's scouting nouse is from the Houston school of signing players on your own doorstep who meet his profiling.

I think it's the standard of the next 3 or 4 signings that give you the fear because the squad as it stands looks poor , i'd be surprised if at least one of them isn't one of the trialists, who really shouldn't be anywhere near us, but Holt knows best.

When it's a striker you need to score goals and are after one that can't then bullet dodged hopefully he stays at Aberdeen. Certainly can't afford one that's a punt hoping he's going to come good. Christ we are still waiting on Keena and Dowds and there's little or no chance of that happening.

The longer Robertson, Wilson etc are still with us the more chance of them getting a deal which is a terrifying thought. If that happens you'd have been aswell keeping dross like Sammon. I'm actually quite fearful for us.
