There’s 3 midweek premiership games after the cup weekend, Hearts v Dundee on the Tuesday and hibs v rangers st Johnstone v Aberdeen on the Wednesday. Limits what the tv can move to Sunday and Monday.

Viaplay might take the Friday night and Saturday lunch slot so maybe even a Sunday game and Monday night.

Really pleased with that draw! Like a lot of others I haven’t ever see us play Aberdeen. In terms of TV, viaplay usually just pick rangers and Celtic, Spartans v Hearts very likely a BBC pick and can see Forfar v Hibs being picked. Would prefer this stayed Saturday 3pm.

Jon Craig looked so bereft of confidence on Friday night, he can’t really continue playing in this form. He’s had plenty opportunity to improve and just hasnt. No idea what the keeper was doing for the first, and the second was a stupid foul from their left back to let us cross it in. Didn’t think Jeanfield were really any better than Musselburgh, was pleasing to see a lot more fight about us than the previous weekend. Hoping the extra 10k prize money and whatever gate we get can be put towards January.

Didn’t think Jeanfield offered much at all and a deserved win. Hope that’s the confidence boost everyone needed, clean sheet good to get as well.

One player doesn’t make the difference from a defeat to a 6-0 win. We didn’t do a great deal, but I thought they offered nothing. A good win overall, without the obvious areas needing strengthening. Roll on the draw.

Tells a story in itself. In the few times I’ve seen him I’ve thought he can at least hold it up and win headers, if young is available it needs to be him and rennie though.

Ian McCall was on todays bbc sportsound podcast. Says his aim is to finish 9th and keep league status, any higher than that a bonus. Also mentioned January not being far away, at least he is keeping aims and what he wants to do fairly simple.

Malcolm hasn’t really had a good run, but last week highlighted again that Rennie cannot play up front himself. He is far better with people around him. Wouldn’t start Ray Grant either, too big a game when he’s not played for a year.

Bearing in mind it’s the Clyde foundation who are applying for the land, I’m not sure any of that matters in terms of the bid to get the site.

It was due October time, but in the run in to that time the council came back once or twice looking for more info/clarifying some points which has then pushed it back. There’s no word when the decision will come as it stands, could be tomorrow, could be months who knows.

Just had a watch at the goals from Saturday, that kick out and attempt to save the chip for the first along with the third goal are some of the worst goalkeeping I’ve ever seen from a keeper. It’s as if he’s never played there in his life before. He had the cheek to go mental after the third as well. Get him binned.

This is the difference, we have a team of absolute losers with very little fight amongst them.

Don’t know what it was about staying in the league above us, probably on better money, surrounded by competent team mates and a competent manager that made him want to leave our absolute shambles.

The reality is this isn’t possible in January. There needs to be a minimum of 4 or 5 out and the same in, maybe 6 but that’s starting to push it.

Looking ahead to January and thinking what we need(a complete overhaul but obviously not possible) - Goalkeeper - punt one, preferably Leighfield, and get someone better in. Left back - anyone remotely more competent than Craig or having to put Lyon there. Centre back - maybe if we can keep Whyte and actually play him in there. Right back - thought Hynes did ok there and could do a job for the rest of the season. We need another centre midfielder to go along with scullion, Carswell and Forbes are not the answer. A winger as we don’t seem to have many, or any good ones. Rennie and Young seemed to be merging a decent partnership but another one up there would help. Assuming Alex King will go back to Morton, and quite honestly he doesn’t look interested anyway. Ji Stevenson can go back to Partick. Josh McCulloch, Euan Cameron, Conor Scullion, Cameron Mulvanny can all just go.

I think given he claimed one of our full backs would score a hat trick would be enough to suggest it’s a piss take… Also, who’s ever had their pie and bovril account hacked?

Peter Grant isn’t even close to the worst player in that squad, utter nonsense.

The teams below the play off spots are all pish, nobody’s saying we aren’t pish because we are awful. The fact we have 7 points and only 8 behind mid table shows the others aren’t good either.

It shows you how utter pish this league is that we are still only 8 points from 5th.

He didn’t work it out during the game, but can someone tell Ross Lyon that if playing left back curling the ball with your right foot will generally end up in a throw in for the other team. Id pass the same to Leighfield, but we’ll just accept not kicking it 20 yards to the opposition. East Fife didn’t even have to be good yesterday, but what they do have is a core of players competent enough for this level. Trouten, Easton, Fleming, Austin, shepherd off the top of my head.

I’m sure there wouldn’t be many who would disagree with you. An utterly spineless bunch.

The only thing Ross Forbes is carrying is about 3 stone more than he should be. I’m also yet to see a decent set piece from him given he’s meant to be excellent at them.

Had arranged to go next Friday with a few mates and a few pints beforehand, will just be staying in the pub. Waste of money and time, and also the chance of subjecting 3 mates to that.

Who has honestly looked at Ross Lyon and thought he’s captain material? Doesn’t talk and he is a fucking deplorable football player. We’re then bringing absolutely diddys like Euan Cameron off a bench to play up front. Ji Stevenson was offside 5 times, maybe more as i left at 70 minutes. That alone is ridiculous. if you can’t get yourself motivated for your first game for a new manager, you never will. What a shower of shite we are.
