Angry Rodgers got booked within minutes for arguing with an offside call, in fairness he was probably right. Then went ballistic when he was ‘fouled’ in the box, he was probably wrong. Then when the shire scored to go 3-2 he was sent off for screaming at the ref. He said he was screaming at his own player. It was all a bit embarrassing, I’ve never seen a player so raging at a reserve game

Hope there’s a clause in his contract that stipulates he must wear his Scottish Cup Final regalia to every game. That would lighten up the league.

Haha I’m only joking Jerry. Well done, some result of Saturday. I know you get a bit of a slagging about BSCs fan base etc but results like that can only be a good thing for the club and the league as a whole. I hope so, since 2011 we’ve only won 5 games I think and never got past the second round.

Thought we were okay today, nothing spectacular but got the job done. Didn’t really feel comfortable till the third goal went in at the end. Berwick were actually a decent outfit and looked the better team at times I thought, they just lacked the cutting edge to open us up. Fair play to the Berwick fans aswell, came in decent numbers on a horrible day and made a wee bit of noise. They have the makings of a decent team and I’m sure they’ll build as time goes on, id rather be battling with them at the top of the league over the fake clubs. We keep hanging on in there, if results go our way over the christmas period then we’ll be right back in it. We arent playing brilliant but getting the results, I said to a few people that I can’t tell if we’re playing at our maximum and we’ll get found out again against the big teams or we’re playing poorly and still getting results. All will become apparent over the next month

The day is finally here, moneybags East Stirlingshire v Cash-strapped Berwick Rangers. The Diddy Derby - The Battle of the Fallen Giants - The Michael Bolochoweckyj Tribute Match. Looking forward to welcoming the Lowland Leagues ‘biggest team’ today. Hearing rumours that Berwick are bringing around 600 fans which means this could be the LL’s record attendance. They really have been a wonderful addition to the league. That backing could make the difference so I’m going for a 1-1 draw, Jamie Dishington opener followed by a Bobby Barr OG Feed the Dish and he will score. Cmon the Shire

After the loss to EK we needed to win all our games till Christmas, that was make even clearer after the loss to Kelty. It’s so far so good but all 4 games are difficult but ones if you want to challenge you have to win. The BSC game will be a massive game if we win our next 3, especially as they could be 4 points ahead of us if they win their games in hand. It’s all ifs and buts though, feel we’ll drop 2 points at least before we get to BSC but you never know.

Solid enough win, Uni never really troubled us outwith their calamitous goal and a few decent shots at the end. We keep plugging on, still think we're too far behind to really trouble but every win brings us slightly closer. Cmon the Shire

Won the toss and batting first. If ever we need a strong opening partnership this is it, if Coetzer and Munsey get through the powerplay then we’ll be right in it. Cmon Scotland!! ETA - probably the right decision to bat first, even a total of 140/150 will be a challenge if the run rate starts climbing, there’ll be a lot of pressure on both sets of players today. However, you would think after yesterday’s capitulation it would’ve been a decent shout to bowl. The UAE top order must feel a bit shaky after yesterday.

I never even knew Jardine managed city at that time lol but whatever suits your agenda! Edinburgh won the league twice when it was a piss poor one then bet a horrific shire team via two penalties before being found out when they played against decent teams. Look how Edinburgh have done since Jardine left. Aren’t spartans all about bringing through young players aswell? I’m sure that’s what they all need, a manager that will turn them into cloggers. Would obviously prefer to play the UAE but they’ll be much better suited to conditions and have a big home support. Our main advantage is we have an extra day off and aren’t playing 2 games in 2 days. No matter what happens, one of Netherlands, UAE or Scotland not qualifying will be a big shock. They would all have been very confident coming into this tournament.

Compete as in put 10 men behind the ball, time waste, break people in half and hoof the ball as far away as possible? A grand job indeed! There no tactical or managerial ability anywhere, Civil are just a bunch of cloggers but fair play it’s working for them.

Looking like a playoff v either PNG, UAE or Canada I think. Only positive is they will all have played a game the day before they play us whereas we now have 3 full days off. All winnable games but we’ve been awful this tournament, would probably want to play Canada out of those three, that means them beating UAE comfortably this afternoon however. ETA : whoever wins between Canada and UAE come 3rd, unless UAE thump Canada and they’ll end up second and Ireland will drop to forth. Confusing stuff.
