Pulp fiction (netflix) 10\10. Just a fantastic film - hadn't watched it for years and had forgotten just how good it was.

Independence Day 2 (Sky) - 3/10. So boring. They really shouldn't have bothered.

Open range - 9/10. Kevin Costner has made some pish films and some great films. This is a great film. Really enjoy a good western and this was right up there. Costner and Robert Duvall were excellent. Can I make a suggestion? This is one of the threads on p&b that I always read but I think it could be improved by folk, when reviewing a film, say where they saw it? Netflix, Amazon prime, Sky, cinema, cooncil tv etc.

This weeks episode - wow. Best programme about at the moment.

White helmets - never heard of this but it appeared on my Netflix front page cos it won an Oscar so gave it a go. Only complaint is that it's too short. Fantastic documentary about guys in Syria who help find survivors after bombings. Kingsman. The secret service - can't believe I'd never saw this. James Bond for adults - absolutely loved it.

Hacksaw Ridge - 10/10. Just fantastic - best film I have seen in a long time. Battlefield scenes are amazing.

Just in from seeing it - loved it and far outweighed my expectations.

Arrival - can't give this a rating cos I don't know if I thought it was brilliant or shit. Don't think it's as good as everyone's saying.

Once you're caught up in a big crowd there is literally nothing you can do about it. Been caught up a few times and it's fuckin scary. Someone hit the nail on the head earlier - the cover up is worse than the initial errors. If all the authorities involved had just admitted the mistakes at the time then it could have been dealt with appropriately. The fact that it took the families 27 years to get justice is a fuckin outrage and if it wasn't for the sheer determination of them to achieve this then today might never have happened. JFT96
