  1. Think he *can* play anywhere across the back but he is only 5-10 and looked wee compared to the Premiership cloggers and giants.
  2. Didn't have a wonderful debut IMO - Trevor Francis picked him out as making a 'terrible' mistake not long after coming on. Be interesting to see how quickly he reappears - United's right back crisis could see him starting this week.
  3. Donald Love getting his top flight debut just now for MU.
  4. Ian Anderson visited the site of the old ground for his Caledonia Dreaming series:
  5. I think their budget is slightly bigger than everyone else's...
  6. Again not live but the Highland League Cup used to be on TV. I remember a game in late 90s one sunday afternoon.
  7. Caledonian were live on Sky in early 90s, possibly v Rangers?
  8. He has 'come onto a game' however... his first few months on the radio were absolutely abysmal.
  9. Not sure there's much worry about people turning up, already records smashed for advanced sales!
  10. Lost track of how many TV spots there have been but here's a new Chinese trailer - lots of new shots and dialogue (in both cases of scenes and scenarios already seen) so avoid if you're staying unspoiled. https://youtu.be/ECYgD7zylrE?t=17s
  11. Some were funny but he was on too much per episode.
  12. Watches Taken last night (loved it) then at the other end of the spectrum, Sling Blade tonight. Boring pap.
  13. What will be interesting to see is how the people who read the Expanded Universe books about the adventures of Han, Luke and Leia (and their offspring) will react to TFA. Some of those books were good, others a shameful waste of trees. I feel it is good Disney are not tied to those events though, but that doesn't mean they can't take ideas from them. But it will mean a fair slice of the fanbase will have preconceived ideas about how Episode 7 should play out. I'll put the following in a spoiler tag as it's a comment about the EU and the rumoured state of the Galaxy Far Far Away in TFA... as such it's not recommended clicking for anyone staying spoiler-free. That will make no sense to anyone who has not read those books!
  14. I quite like following the spoilers, it's been good fun. I don't do that for any other film or franchise - the last Bond film I followed the spoilers for ahead of release was Tomorrow Never Dies - but it's a different kind of experience. The buzz lasts longer about it. So when I see the film on the 19th there will be few surprises for me but I'd prefer that than to seeing a film I wanted to love but ended up hating because my expectations weren't met. The prequels were a difficult set of films all in all and I know of folk that have refused to watch any of them because they have friends disappointed by them who said steer clear. John Boyega made a comment this week that he wasn't sure what fan reaction would be. I don't think that has anything to do with the film's quality, more the expectations of a vast and diverse fanbase.
  15. Way, way too much of Jack Docherty in this series. Liked the reference this week to the guy the traffic cops lifted in series 1 for flogging booze out of an ice cream van as that IMO was one of the best sketches across the (fairly patchy) show.
  16. A bit of further confirmation of Baillieston Juniors AFC's present home at St Ambrose: http://www.broomhousefc.co.uk/item.php?pg=match&pd=1022&it=78
  17. A few others also play on 3/4G I think. Drumchapel FP at the Donald Dewar, a few clubs such as Hamilton FP and EK YM, use Hamilton Palace (whether that's the artifical surface I do not know). Broomhouse use the Greenfield complex 4G. On the other hand, the occasional enclosed Junior ground is being used such as Overtown Thistle at Stonehouse. Balmore have moved on from there to a public park in Law. At the end of the day, the Caledonian League is losing members to the Central Scottish on an almost annual basis. The Scottish AFL likewise. To attract / maintain teams, they're having to adjust their standards I suppose.
  18. http://www.caledonianafa.org.uk/website/index.php/league-tables/first-division Bottom of Div 1A. They only entered that set-up this year after their 21s squad became overage. The postcode is on the CAFA site is that of the old Drumpellier pitches - I don't know Coatbridge and didn't know it was now St Ambrose HS - I assume there's a 3/4G there and that is what they use.
  19. Baillieston Juniors in name live on, originally as a boys club but now they have a team in the Caledonian Amateur League. Their 21s team played out of Priory Park in Blantyre and the amateur side are at the Drumpellier playing fields in Coatbridge.
  20. During the first season, that was the case up until the mid-season break, and for some reason while in USA it resumed in January, we had to wait a good month or so for the season to resume. I felt it was a little claustrophobic with almost all episodes on Lothal. Hopefully the cell expands in S2.
  21. Most online 'redtop' articles are clickbait or arse-kissing pieces to be read by the supporters of the club involved. And unsurprisingly, most of these are OF related.
