  1. I usually have Sky News up while I'm working, and the two people they brought on to talk about it were... Christina Pagel and Kit Yates.
  2. Sky News leading with the prospect of nuclear armageddon all day until... the news that Covid cases are back on the rise!
  3. So, not in a care home, then. Think anyone can conclude you are past your sell by date if you're locked away in a care home. Living to 94+ and being fit in your eighties is good fortunate even if you have lived a health-conscious life. It should be remembered that the vast majority of old people still recovered from Covid. Yet the state tried to take away, by law, how much risk they were 'allowed' to accept by making it illegal to see grandchildren.
  4. Sleepy Joe's off the cuff remarks sure will be seized upon for a while. The auld duffer needs a constant leash. Meanwhile:
  5. Of course, I forgot about your peerless sources of information.
  6. That's a Detournement source right there. Meanwhile, in the real world, the Ruskies were rowing back their nuclear rhetoric even further this morning.
  7. It's an internet forum. If it was a real world situation requiring compassion, compassion would be shown.
  8. There is nothing dark about 80+ year olds dying of natural causes. Things should have been done to try and prevent them catching it, as I outlined above, but if they do despite that then it is simply part of life. Deal with it.
  9. Sold out ages ago, m7+1. Bet Budge is still keeping an entire section of the Rosie for pointless segregation, mind.
  10. Yup. Death by natural causes by folk who were at death's door and would be pan breed in six months anyway. Think I'd rather a quick death by ole Rona than rotting away in a care home, not even aware that a fart would probably blow me over. There had also been a mild influenza season the winter prior to March 2020 making these punters ripe for harvesting, sad as that may be.
  11. Yup. More honesty and less fantasy island stuff from the outset also should have happened. It should have been made clear that in time, essentially every human on the planet would be exposed.
  12. Is there really much point in this inquiry if the utter disaster that was 'lockdown' is forever ruled out as being 'public health' policy in a future pandemic? It would also help to have suitable healthcare capacity, adequate reserves of PPE for those who require it, and keep the pathogen out of care homes / test people prior to being moved there. It's not difficult stuff.
  13. Where? There is absolutely zero credible evidence that Russia has changed their nuclear posture.
  14. Ukraine flag to show she's against authoritarianism, though. Definitely no hypocrisy at play to keep the grift going. Plus, there's always more about just how seriously China continues to take Covid:
  15. China still taking its Covid approach very seriously, etc etc.
  16. Putin is an egomaniac who loves himself and the attention, clearly. He'll be wondering what he can do to continue to try and look like a big shot on the nuclear front, without actually doing anything that would subsequently see Moscow and St Petersburg join the rest of Russia in the third world.
  17. Maybe Joe can ask Detournement on to help moderate?
  18. Today is the 70th anniversary of Britain's first atomic bomb test: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Hurricane
