  1. What a delight the last twelve months have been and I'd agree about the impact of Mason Hancock while Charlie Telfer has been a driving force. As to being the best ever seen I think we're entitled to get carried away but I've seen better in my lengthy years of supporting the
  2. Deserved win and great work rate and passing skills. St Johnstone just lacked any real threats for much of the game and it felt like a first goal scored, would get the win. Been a few years since we reached the 5th round and hope it's a decent draw.
  3. Loan player recalled so let's give him praise and it's time to move on. Still need some additions.
  4. No worries for Airdrieonians. Clearly a home win is on the cards. Wrap up well for our cold welcome. However I have no idea what the result will be.
  5. I watched your highlights and I can't believe that incident was not given as a penalty but it was Euan Anderson. Did I hear the commentary talk about " beans and toast" for the post. It made me smile. At least you got to see a game as I pondered the workings of USH in Fife.
  6. At least I've found the chat quite amusing as I pass away the morning annoyance at having no football today. Can't even see a close local game and I'm not going to Greenock which has even worse water problems. Qué Sera.
  7. Gone for an Airdrie win but it will be the usual nervy visit of the last few seasons.
  8. Meant to double quote the other poster but Airdrie won the League Cup game and Dodds was the manager . Inverness won the home League game unfortunately for me.
  9. There's Tony Watt spoiled my night with another late goal, as far as predictions go but happy to stay ahead of Caley. Rotten game again on Friday. Lots of correct chaps tonight.
  10. Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 Dundee United 1 Arbroath 1 Ayr United 1 Dunfermline Athletic 0 Airdrieonians 1 Greenock Morton 2 Partick Thistle 2 Raith Rovers 3 Queens Park 1
  11. To be pedantic he was still on the pitch but it was bizarrely funny if you're an Airdrie supporter.
  12. Posting before catching up. Thought we deserved the win again and achieved through team efforts all over the pitch The first goal is always crucial and I can't remember Rae having any difficulties Expected Raith to mount some sort of comeback but they missed Stanton in the middle as an attacking/driving force. Airdrie's full backs negated any width and Todorov was a nuisance all day with the bonus of a goal again. That's Murray surpassed his three sub tactic from the first game and maybe the first time I've ever seen that. Last four games have been excellent.
  13. Keyser soze gets three and Colkitto gets one, although is he a new entrant?
  14. Full time Queens park 2 Dunfermline Athletic 1. A few got the right result and quite a good performance by Queens Park but where were Dunfermline before 85th minute? Check in a moment.
  15. Much as I don't care who wins the title, it would be good to see United fail to even go up, and a newish face for the hidebound Premier league. That's after of course you don't leave Airdrie with three points.
  16. I'm going for a draw and both games have been good adverts for good football. Thought Airdrie caught Raith a bit cold in your only defeat and deserved to win. The second one could have gone either way and it was one of our better performances. We've had a stutter but seen to have passed through it so I look forward to a good match. Hope it's not a repeat of that famous match where Raith won it in the last few minutes having been behind!

  18. I agree that Frizzell was indeed back to his best and it was a game where we pressed Caley any time we lost the ball I also wonder if the absence of young McStravick was actually a bonus as there was no need to find him and the space for Hancock was there all day for our midfield to keep driving on. Also Rhys being there was so much more assured and competitive. Great start to 24 and I'd love to see us stall the Kirkcaldy steam engine again .
  19. Once we scored from the corner, (yet again! ) this was a comfortable and deserved win , given how well we had attacked in the first half. The "foul" which led to the second night we'll have been for a sneaky wee jersey pull, but who knows. Caleys defending was not clever but Todorov has a habit of being in there for it. Fordyce never missed a header all day, including a wee headed elbow, and it was great to see him score. Hancock was our best player in first half and Frizzell was back to his very best today ( McStravick missing ?) so it was a very pleasant start to 2024. On Caley that number 44 was dire, and it looked as if they'd come for a draw. Certainly no McKay helped us for the first half and he was rarely backed up in second half. On the Ref he did have some strange calls but Caley lost for other reasons, so Duncan was being a bit of a loose cannon going on to the long walk confrontation . I'd gone for 2-1 but preferred Airdrie reducing our negative goal difference, than me getting three points!
  20. He has been having a running verbal with the lino over Airdrie free kick and goal at second. He did shake hands with Hutton etc on his further walk and confronted the Ref. Nearly the furthest his attackers had been at that end in first half. As said many years ago: Big Skinny B......
  21. Queens are on a Par indeed if not currently the park. Apologies to my QP associates.

  23. It's been a great year and an even better last few minutes today so Happy New year!
