On a slightly different note, just received from FSS newsletter. Very disappointing that some of the fans who started contributing have fell away.

Yeah it's disappointing, but it was expected.

Pleasing that members are joining quicker than they lapse and I am still confident that many of those whose 2 year PayPal has ended will soon realise and re-join.

I’m not too bothered who we pay for the service as long as it’s good value but I don’t get too bothered about it being called Pars TV as it isn’t totally inaccurate as sure it is run by Pars fans who also run Pars TV. Was something that was questioned by our own fans when contracted too. Regardless, he didn’t seem to be using it in an antagonistic way to but just calling it what he believed it to be. Personally I’m not that bothered as been happy enough with the quality of the stream whenever I’ve watched.

It’s only when he started getting attacked that he bit back but I still don’t think he was looking to have a go at any individuals. Felt like he got attacked for no good reason then piled on as a result. Look back at his posts and see how it unravelled. I wouldn’t agree that our product is rubbish but to someone who obviously takes care about uploading in as high a resolution as he can, then it’s maybe just as he sees it. The quality of upload is most likely a misunderstanding of process rather than a lack of skill. In any case he didn’t come on to critique our coverage but ended up being tasked to comment after being hounded for responding to how it could be better.

I have read it back and it still looks to me like one guy coming on to give help then being ganged on as a result.

Nah he's a w**k, but he knows that and plays up to it so it's all good.

If you could back it up with actual high quality footage I might accept some merit in that. Still ugly.

I feel like there's been two direct digs that have missed the target tonight. 😂

Only difference I can see between the highlight packages is the high quality FalkirkTV commentary. Alloa would be better served without one it is that poor.

How long has that been? Has there been any other update?

seriously it’s being ignored as an issue and hoped it’ll be forgotten about

    Seriously, it's not being ignored.

Nature of a volunteer committee that things move slowly

For better or worse, a decision has been taken that the FSS is to be aligned at all times with the Patrons and board of directors (at least publicly) rather than acting as a representative body for supporters.

That is all well and good when things are going well on and off the pitch, but will not be tenable in my view should that cease to be the case.

There may well come a point where the interests of the supporters are contrary to that of the Patrons/board and the FSS needs to be able to raise the supporters’ views on such an issue.

    f**k this shit.

I and many others put in a power of hard work on the FSS Committee to create a strong, representative fans body which will be central to moving the club forward. Stuff like this just makes me want to chuck it.

We were promised this would be looked at at one of the members meetings and it’s conveniently been forgotten because the Board don’t want it.

What a bizarre thing to say when it's been included in every FSS newsletter since the members meeting that an accountant is exploring all the available options for quickly securing the FSS shareholding in the event of a share issue.

Just keep in mind that any further share issue not bought by the Fans Consortium dilutes the 25%.

This is not a permanent figure.

Any further share issue would dilute the shareholding - true.

But, under the partnership agreement (provided by AJ1981) the FSS would have a percentage of these newly issued shares held to allow it to build back to it's shareholding position at time of issue. Now there is a debate as to how quickly FSS could purchase these shares to retain it's shareholding and there are many mechanisms being explored to find the best way forward.

It's not permanent, but it's about as close as you can get.

Gary Holt was appointed DOF on 14th Jan 2021. The leagues had been suspended sometime after our loss to East Fife on 2nd January because of covid. The team were allowed to train before the league resumed on 20th March and during that period we had a trialist goalkeeper - Luke Holt. Nobody knew about him because professional football was in lockdown and fans couldn't get into matches, but I saw him a couple of times when I was asked to cover training and closed-door games. He wasn't signed.  I don't know why, but I'd guess the goalie coach didn't rate him..

I used to speak quite frequently to a couple of players around this time and can remember them talking about these first few training sessions with Luke Holt. He was not rated by anyone in the squad or management - couldn't get a game in the Sunday leagues an exact quote.

Infuriating what the old board allowed Holt to do.
