I mind the first time I watched Grant (think it was possibly preseason or maybe an U20s game). He talked every single player through the game and I thought there's a Falkirk captain in the making. Real shame the injuries caught up with him.

Then we've got the youngsters we signed last summer who will most likely end up in the development team if we get that up and running this summer. Lennon Walker got young player of the year at Bo'ness scoring 13 goals in the league so far this season, Honeyman has played near enough every game for the shire this season which at 16/17 is some going, Kyle Connolly also played a good number of games for the shire this season and then there's Pearse Carroll who I'd forgot about as he's not been in any matchday squads for a fair bit.
As I understand it the plan is to have a development team set up for the start of the season. Made up of:
* 6-8 'modern apprentices' (Carroll is the first signed up but the others you've mentioned may follow)
* Best of the U18s
* Fringes of the first team

Yeah I'd not cope with MacDonald back.

You're only as good as your last result. Falkirk win.

Good to see the diamond back and continuing to work. Doubt we will start with it at Hampden but good to know it's there and can be a clear plan B now.

Looks to me like it is the diamond with Morrison alongside Burrell?

MCKay was absolutely horrendous on Tuesday. I would get Henderson back in there with Donaldson. Gives you left/right balance and better distribution.
You can then play McGinn at the bottom of the diamond, Nesbitt/Morrison right, Max Left, Kennedy/Morrison up top and Burrell and Oliver up top, or burell, Morrison or Oliver, Morrison depending on how things are
Wouldn't be against it games we will dominate the ball.

Dont really get some of the outrage at this new scheme which ultimately replaces B4L without the monthly prizes. End of the day, it's to help our club.
Outrage is too strong. Questioning it's effectiveness or necessity is not outrage.

Maybe for guys those that want to donate some more but dont agree with fan ownership.
I think that is the aim, almost a replacement of B4l. Just feels to me it gets in the way of space the club could use to promote FSS.

So that's Falkirk Forever officially started. Seems the only real 'benefit' is paying the season ticket over a year.
Is it unfair for me to say that promoting FSS would have been a stronger option instead? Something along the lines of 'FSS x FFC' - join FSS and pay your season ticket over 12 months. I know they are already offering this option to members but feels like this should have been the chance for the club to really promote a clear reason to join FSS. Instead we get this slightly messy join one or the other.

Are you sure? We missed one Falkirk Daft prize because of a hand over of responsibilities didn't take place quick enough (our bad but it is back in place now) but else we have published several newsletters and produced the fund raising Semi t-shirts (buy here https://falkirk-supporters-society.teemill.com/ if interested) which we have also given out several signed shirts to a number of Falkirk supporter groups as prizes and added around another 20,000£ worth of shares. And hopefully a project we've been working on for several months will be announced soon too.
And help is always needed - do volunteer - we lost a couple of very active people who resigned from the committee this time, we have the power to co-opt others especially if they come with skills we need.
Yeah I'm sure, but perhaps that post came across more critical than intended. When I'm referring to quantity/quality drop I should have specified and said social media output - even more specifically Twitter output. I still think that is a fair reflection.
FSS and the folk involved are doing some really important things (which I will always applaud). If anyone had the time or inclination to look back on my posts on here they'd see I continually back FSS. In fact I have previously volunteered to help with leafleting etc and another project that unfortunately couldn't be taking forward at the time. Wouldn't surprise me if our 'real life' paths have crossed.
Like I said. Give it a few weeks till my head is no longer filled with a dissertation and exam and I'll step forward to give a hand.
Ps - T-shirt has already been purchased and proudly worn.

Definitely been a drop off in the quantity and probably even the quality of FSS output since the changes in the committee. I'd just put it down to the new committee finding their feet and (I think) they are now running with less hands on deck.
Once I've got my degree out the way in the next few weeks I'll reach out and see where I can help.

Starting to wonder if maybe we should get the performance coach lassie that Housty used in for the next few weeks to sort out the focus and mental side.
Connie McLaughlin, but I'm not sure she still does it. Players used to rave about her.

I thought it was a scuff too but watching the highlights back his foot is angled towards Kennedy. The stick he gets is unbelievable. Should be him and Burrell up front.
Watched back and still not convinced. Agree though it should be you and Burrell together.

Gary Oliver was excellent and played two crucial moments in the Kennedy opener. If we play one up front then it has to be him.
Fantastic play on halfway but bit of a reach to claim sclaffing a shot to Kennedy is anything other than extremely fortunate. In fact that just about sums him up completely.
If I didn't know otherwise I'd assume you were Gary Oliver.

Agree. If you want to give over and above your ST then FSS represents the best option.

One section left of the north stand. Surprised how many have opted for the SS tbh.
It took a long time (a good 3/4 days after request) for the SFA to send the final two sections of the North Stand. There was a fair few who got fed up waiting and just went to South - we bought South but then swapped the tickets once the North opened up again.

Wait...do folk take this site seriously?

Improving on one of the worst league finishes in the club’s history is a bare minimum expectation, not a success
But going from 6th to 2nd is not the bare minimum.

Wow. A one pager that names the people in the club, what they do, and where they sit in the organisation is “through the looking glass”? Come on now, the Salem Witch Trials were a long time ago, and things have moved on quite a way.

That covers the important stuff I reckon.

If we can fill or almost fill all of the north stand allocation then that will meet the fans in the west stand. Will look great but more importantly keeps the bulk of our fans together in one huge section.
No idea why the SFA dictate that you must start selling from halfway. We've held off getting ours as want to be closer to the West.

A few years ago I reckon I'd have been closer towards the camp of "no promotion = get rid", but things are different now.
Maybe it has been the recent seasons wearing me down but I was fine with this year being about stability, both on and off the park.
