  1. 3 games in white equals 3 defeats.. Im defo blaming the strip!!
  2. Did we not take close to 1000 to the last cup tie there? Id like to think we could do that again if we in decent form still
  3. Hibs away though!! always a cracking day out, early train meet my hibby mates in their boozer (robbies bar) always welcomed. Hopefully get a win! Got to fancy us on current form!
  4. No really, it was there to see at falkirk that when craigen is played centrally we are better going forward, mckinnon has stated craigen isnt a natural winger.. Megginson has proved he can play on the wings. Petrie is a natural left sided central midfielder and has done well in there when given a chance, and after saturday i think mckinnon will have a very difficult decision to make with regards to centre halfs as davo was outstanding, could it be time to see 3 at the back?
  5. Jon daly, james mcfadden, jason scotland, M A curier, nathan eccleston, edward ofere, just a handfull of ex top flight strikers who are still free agents.
  6. Both teams need to agree before sfa/spfl can sanction postponment.
  7. Yip agreed about tuesdays game, get a win and hope to draw aberdeen, celtic, hearts or even rangers at home and you could potentially get a sell out or close too it.. That would certainly help the gaffer out.
  8. Yip agreed about tuesdays game, get a win and hope to draw aberdeen, celtic, hearts or even rangers at home and you could potentially get a sell out or close too it.. That would certainly help the gaffer out.
  9. The rationale wa that murray was punted and mcgurn deal softened the blow i think! Got the fans back on side, only for the new gaffer to come in and quite rightly give every player a clean slate, and insists that from day one if players show theybare working hard in training they will see the rewards, so mcgurn is well behind in rays thoughts.
  10. This last week laurie has been training while taylor and ray take training, the old guy who runs the strollers has been in every day this week setting up cones, drills, balls etc! Id loan mcgurn as he know where near gettinf game time due to cuthbert playing well, and laidlaw training hard.! Petrie could also be loaned as he looks off the lace a wee bit, 1 or 2 young lad could benefit from first team experience also,
  11. Vukanovic looks decent, but costa is better all round striker. Vukanovic is very quick and skillful has an excelant shot. Costa all be it against lesser teams has scored 3 in 2 games, puts himself about, wins endless headers holds up the ball and knows where the goal is, derserves a first team chance in my opinion.
  12. Our under 20's with the inclusion of 4 trialists playing Dunfermline 20's at auchmuty 7pm tonight.
  13. Better that than writing half a pish story that folk need to ask you a million questions aboot.Infact what al do next time is just say, fun day was gid, two trialists were decent.. That do you??
  14. Watched the mini training game today at the fun day, was serious stuff from the squad players not many of yesterdays squad were involved, the two trialists were involved and looked very good. Costa is very quick, a decent physique and can use both feet exeptionally well, good link up play and scored some excelant goals too. The other lad had a man bun in his heed!! Again quick, good skill and kept the ball well and constantly on the move to lose his marker! Spoke briefly to costa, welcomed him to kirkcaldy etc, and he thanked me for that and says he is hopefull of a deal early this week, and hopefull of getting some real game time tuesday.! The fact he knows about tuesdays game and their involvement today may tell a decent story.! They could be the answers we are looking for moving forward
  15. The best forward play happened when davo came on, thus freeing up craigen and callachan to move more forward centrally, when craigen is in the middle of the park with the ball at his feet his footwork is excelant and keeps the ball very well.!
  16. Yeh correct this was mentioned by eric drysdale months back. That the kits were all 2 year deals as the club fealt it was unfair to ask supporters to fork out for two kits every season and the club were always left out of pocket with extra un sold kits. So the green one was always to be our away kit this season with the blue out home kit for 2 seasons and the introduction of a 3rd away kit this season which would officially be our away kit 2016/17 season and go on sale at that pre season. But chuffed the club could make some early sales from this kit as its a cracker!
  17. We are at least attempting to play football in the 3 games so far. Granted our opponents have created some chances against us but we still havent lost any goals, cuthberts been comfortable but having toshney and benedictus in front of you who are assured confidant footballers will help cuthbert even more. Going forward we also look a threat and counter attack very quickly. Onwards and upwards 1 game at a time. In ray we trust.! He doesnt mix his words and his players know what he wants them to do at all times, chuffed he is thinking along the same lines as the supporters, especially when our players are in the penalty box, need to be clynical and lethal!
  18. McKinnon was always going to sign an older player, wasnt taking the chance of keeping. Youthful squad, with all our grumpy unhappy at everything fans, Davo is a good signing, still has a lot to offer, has experience, can play in couple of positions so goes by mckinnons status of having a utility squad, don't think bates is fully ready for a full season. But he will only get better, Davo toshney and Benedictus as a back 3 would be good for us. People forget Davo was at us when we were at our worked, and slowly getting better only to get worse again, and was an easy target for abuse due to him being local. The lad took endless amounts of shit from key folks only to still come back to us. Good singing in my opinion, but haters going to hate eh!
  19. So people saying we dont need an experienced midfielder as we have more than enough midfielders... What do you say to yplour new gaffer then who states again in the papers that he feels we are a bit short on experience?
  20. Compared to last seasons form for alloa mccord has been poor. Gave the ball away more times in the two cup games and friendlies than liam fox last season. He cost us 3 goals in 3 games in pre season because he took an extra touch and fell on the ball or extra touch and was tackled in silly position, but hey its pre season. He should come good soon enough. Davo's range of passing will suit us better than when he was here before. Did anyone moan in 1st two cup games when callachan passed 40 yards for a throw in? Or 10 yards backwards to defence who keep the ball? NOPE! Just my opinion like many others. Signings wont please many, Weve been crying out for a gaffer to finally play some youth boys, and signing someone elses youth striker when we have two who may do a job would be daft just now.!
  21. Some folk talk utter shite on here. Davo has more experience than any of our current midfeilders, mccord has been very poor so far but i expect that to change once settled. Like many of this seasons signings davo can play in various positions or formations and has a range of passing. Ray has been honest in saying over that last few weeks that we lack proper experience, i trust mckinnon miles more than murray! So we will see, I dont think we need a striker yet when we habe robertson and court (yes court was given a loan) but if recall it now and chuck em in!
  22. Lee miller on trial at livi, and part of courts loan deal is so he can be recalled at anytime, he hasnt officially went out to east stirling yet he wasnt to be cuptied on saturday so still hasnt met up with his new club, id rather try court and robertson at least i think they deserve a chance.!
  23. Its all about recovery and rehab.! If lewis sticks to it and concentrates without pushing it he may play again in new year. Hopefully we can see callum robertson or johnny court not getting loaned out and getting a chance if they not ready then we look elsewhere.!
  24. Everyone makes mistkaes in their lives, but Ian black has made more than many. But their comes a time in your life where you realise you need to change your ways. and hopefully Ian black has now realsied his time to change is now, he is pretty much going to have to scrape tha barrell to get a contract from clubs if he wants to play at the highest level possible, yes he has fallen from grace, he was one of those players you hated but would love to have in your team when he was at hearts then came his big money move to rangers, that for me ruined him. Couldnt handle the pressure boll. But right now we do lack that little something differant. We Lack a hard tackling ball winner with a variety of passing and we defiantly lack his experience. Mckinnon today states we had to get the average age of the team down, weve done that massivley now and maybe we lack that proper experienced head, ian black has that, he has experienced pretty much evertything in his football career, just having him in training could boost callachan and mccord. Im not for one minute suggesting we use our remaining budget and throwing it all at ian black, but i say wait a week, offer him training, invite him to starks on saturday like we did JJ hooper. test the water and see how interested he is at staying. our Training facilites are top notch and by all accounts all our newbies this season have enjoyed the training. Ian black yes he is 100% numpty buthe would bring some experience to our squad.
  25. in all honesty i think ian black would be a decent enough signing for us, even if he does only play 10-15 games. He would add a bit of experience to our day to day training, would push callachan mccord and petrie and mathews. Also, Do we really have enough midfeild quality? Craigen is defiantly more suited in a forward role wether on the wing or in a 3. Anderson this season looks like he may well be suited to 1 of a forward 3 rather than a winger. Petrie seems to have settled into any position just to get a game which is brilliant for us and him, played well at LB and CM and LM. Mathews is defiantly one for the future and after a few games this season should be ready to go for next season, And im sure Mccord will come good soon enough and has struggled so far due to the change from part to full time training. the last 3 games he has gave the ball away far too many times for a central midfielder, So maybe, just maybe, if we can sign hooper on a cheap contract and there is money left in the pot id sign ian black. knowing we still have 2 more loans if needed.
