  1. Played well, they can sound like this - I hope you enjoy your new guitar. I would recommend Justinguitar on YouTube for good lessons.
  2. It looks decent for the price, I've never owned a Yamaha but I know they have a good reputation for making guitars that are suited for beginners. To be honest, there's not going to be that much difference between guitars of that price range in terms of sound. Also, why the hate for classical guitars? I got one during the summer and I love it. I'd been wanting to learn some classical pieces and a normal acoustic guitar doesn't allow you to achieve the desired sound. I've had to learn a totally different style of playing for the classical guitar but it's enjoyable, I've only just got my head (and fingers) round playing triplets. That's the best thing about the guitar, there's always more to learn and improve on.
  3. It was the best option for a family of four. I got the young persons discount added for the boys too. I was impressed by the tube and it is quite easy to navigate your way round the city.
  4. Cheers Tam, I took your advice and everything went well. We just kept the cards and will use them next time we visit.
  5. Cheers man, that's a great help. I have the contactless card so I'll just use that.
  6. We (2 adults and 2 kids aged 11 and 14) are going to London next week (Friday to Sunday) and I was wondering what's best regarding travel cards. There's the oyster card and a one day travel card, there's also the option for using your bank card. We've never been to London before and will be staying near the archway station. We are flying into Stansted and going into town on the Friday night, all day Saturday and part of Sunday as our flight home isn't until 9pm. Any advice would be appreciated.
  7. Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town
  8. My special edition 'A Moon Shaped Pool' vinyl arrived today. Well worth the money and time spent waiting for it to arrive.
  9. As far as I know, there's only one camera person for each 'fugitive' and they have to just follow them about without providing any assistance to either the hunters or the hunted.
  10. Yeah, they had to go to an old airstrip at the end of the 28 days. A difference from the last series is that they all started from the same location rather than their own homes. If I was on the show I'd make sure any device used for planning was hidden/disposed of and I'd be deleting any social media profiles. I would have zero contact with family and friends and head up to the Highlands. I'd go around farms and offer to work there in exchange for food and shelter (moving on every 4 of 5 days). I would avoid using the money until it was time to go to the meeting point. I'd ask a stranger to withdraw the money and get them to buy a train ticket on my behalf then hitchhike to the meeting point.
  11. Gorky's Zygotic Mynci - The Game Of Eyes
  12. I walked past an Oxfam charity shop in Aberdeen around 12 years ago and saw this album in the window for £8. I went inside and despite not owning a record player (and I didn't get one until last year) I knew I had to buy it. It came with the original stickers too which was a nice bonus.
  13. I'm the same, do you wear your watch on your right wrist?
  14. The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Pt. 1
  15. Managed to get Twenty One Pilots tickets for London in November. My eldest son is going to be well pleased. However, given the cost, he'll be on dishes duty until he leaves home.
  16. The new King Creosote album arrived today (including an etched 10" disc). I also picked up a Gorky's Zygotic Mynci single from amazon for a couple of quid. Just waiting on my Radiohead vinyl now.
