  1. A canny bookmaker has pocketed £600,000 from £10-£1,000 bets after mug punters failure to predict seven league winners. The stupid seven-fold accumulators were placed way back before the start of the season. As well as picking the winners of every Scottish league – Celtic, Hibs , Livingston and Arbroath – only one person selected the teams that won the Championship, League One and League Two in England. .... Don Bridge of brokes said: "our avarice has paid off big time here. I don't give a f**k how many kids go without their tea so long as i get my bonus” - The real story
  2. Could be a cracking signing at our level. If he has to come off earlier in games than mcginn then it might force del's hand in blooding youngsters. At his age, his useful economic life will be hugely influenced by conditioning and lifestyle. Does anybody know whether he's a piss up and kebabs type or more of a model pro?
  3. Factual accuracy aside, that's a sickener for the boy, being left begind in the second division three times. At least that won't happen at utd.
  4. Bbc gossip and Sun team up to even the OF racism score at one each by bringing up Mark Walters incident from about 30 years ago. Top notch whataboutery.
  5. My mate says he only buys the Sun because it's got tits in it. I didn't realise he meant boydie. Where's my coat...
  6. Barry Ferguson is a columnist? I shouldn't be surprised, but my faith on humanity has just taken another knock.
  7. Who else do we have out on loan? Is Danny Rogers still ours? I also thought that Storie looked the part for us but then I thought that about Nicky Low a couple of years previous.
  8. The bbc gossip page has mentioned that Brendan Rogers would like to sign good players without spending very much money. They really should rename it "witless OF filler."
  9. 70/112. Lost about 6 points to spelling. I put the rest down to repression of traumatic memories. I enjoyed that though, good quiz.
  10. It would have been a sell out at Celtec park because the number of people who turn up has no bearing on attendances there.
  11. Bbc headline states that bluescum posted profit for last 6 months. Clicked two links by way of checking facts and have verified that this is in fact shite. They posted a loss (albeit 50k less than the comparable period) Even the vermin's own website doesn't have the gall to suggest they made a profit. In defence of the beeb, there is an operating profit but this us wiped out by "other charges". So the headline should say that "Rangers could have made a profit but spent too much money"
  12. My abiding memory of the flying pig was him chucking an aimless Steven Glass cross into his own net at Pittodrie with no-one within 20 yards. Fortunately, he stayed away from gambling and shady characters or it might have appeared suspicious. Anyway, who was worserest: Bossu or Macalamity?
  13. Apologies to mo. I just saw the article again and he is clearly talking about hibs' lead. I don't know if that's right or not.
  14. He might just have been out for a night out and felt rough? Anyway, the gap at the top of the league is 25 points, not 33. That's the gap between 1st and third. Nobody cares about this gap apart from sevconians. 25 is still shite but i don't think that it supports his wearapeepul point.
  15. The SFA is already independent of the English one isn't it? A shining example of how well run the country could be. I don't think that politics should come into football chat but if you really must try to make a coherent point or you just sound like mcglashan.
  16. This is Tango's big chance. I hope for his sake he gets it. I hope for our sake that his time spent touring European centres of excellence hasn't cured his ineptitude.
  17. while I agree with the description, I don't think that the club itself looks like the worst offender on that evidence. What looks bad is the culture of that time and place where marrying a catholic is considered noteworthy. In particular, and on topic, what looks really bad is that rag considering it newsworthy. I get the impression from that piece that the orcs quoted genuinely thought that they were being all liberal and inclusive by not objecting to the marriage. I didn't grow up in an area where sectarianism was a problem and I can't remember articles like that in the P&j. That article has genuinely enlightened me and given me some idea of why the remnants of this attitude are so deeply entrenched among the dense and easily led. Thanks for posting.
  18. There is much to criticise the dumb ned for but his geography is impeccable. Hamilton is in the Weeg.
  19. when did we last get a fee for an established player (ie: Not a promising youngster)? I think it was Foster at a reported £400k? going by that benchmark we should accept no less than 7 trillion pounds for Hayes.
  20. I have never played football manager but I can't see what point you're making. we don't need to sell for shite money. Hayes signed a contract. I think he would honour it by not sulking if we turn down shite money. if we get offered slightly less shite money then that can go towards a replacement and soften the blow. Why should people not be disappointed?
  21. Can I ask a favour please? I am intrigued to know what piffle the red tops are trying to pass off as news. I am not so intrigued as to make me prepared to contribute in any small way to their advertising revenue and ability to continue with their socially harmful businesses. My request is: Can people please post a precis of the story alongside (preferably instead of) a link? Thanks in advance.
  22. None of these signing suggestions stand a chance of matching the levels of hilarity reached on the previous page by the phrase "beautiful, rural Westhill."
