  1. There was a big debate and vote on this a while ago and the "keep sunday special" mob won. If God can rest on the seventh day, then it stands to reason that, dependent on which sector you work in and on the size of the building you're employed in, people should also be able to rest for an arbitrary amount of time that's not actually a real day off. Medieval shite.
  2. It's a high risk strategy as well as being potentially lucrative. Probably need a one in three hit rate to make it work financially and the misses mean there's a lot of capital tied up for just sitting on the bench.
  3. There's a lot of homeless people round here using tents. I'd guess a dozen to twenty tents across the town centre most days, plus scattered around various parks, arches etc. As to whether it's an issue, i'd say that it's the numbers of homeless and the lack of better options that are the issue. But I'm not a lawyer or MP so I'm probably just being dim.
  4. Pepsi challenge, "Highland" fair, ingliston market. Won a paper cap. Would have won an inter school team quiz one time but was cheated by incompetence and still bitter about it. Q- what is an avocado? My answer - it's a fruit Quiz dick- "what kind of fruit" Me-"er what? I don't know... South American?" Quiz dick-"no, it's a pear" Me - "WHAT! No it isn't, i don't know what it is but it's not a pear!" Quiz dick-"yes it is it's an Avocado pear" Me- "ffs"
  5. Shite tactics, defence all over the place again, losing the head, couldn't string two passes together and down to ten men. Hahaha girfuy hibs
  6. I am optimistic about today's game. I've been optimistic against decent opponents twice this season, once against the darkside, correctly as it turns out, and once against PAOK, which was right for 3/4 of the match. Extrapolate fron that and we'll go three up in the first half before losing 5-3.
  7. If we didn't give people tents and benefits then they'd just have to get a job and a house. Problem solved.
  8. That sounds about par for the course. Plenty good foreign stuff about once you find the decent ones. My regular Chinese doesn’t do poppadoms but I wouldn’t be surprised to find others doing burgers and pizzas too,
  9. South Wales. It’s a dessert for decent baked or fried produce.
  10. Don’t you lot have some sort of free speech Tsar that will sort this all out? You know because free and open debate is a cornerstone of democracy or something. Maybe that’s only a trans thing
  11. I do but I can explain my behaviour. Where I live you can’t get good stuff from the chip shop. The cod and sausage is ok but not good and fish cakes are tolerable in a pinch. Outside of that it’s really bad pies (Clark’s or puff pastry rectangles) or chicken Goujons. So I’m not forgoing anything good. I suppose I could just have an extra pickled egg or two.
  12. Headline news when the John Lewis one “drops”.
  13. Are they a flat cap wearing Victorian mill worker?
  14. Clear majority support for the abomination proposition.
  15. What’s the consensus on gravy with chips? The wife insists on it whereas I think it’s an abomination.
  16. “You won’t learn anything if I do it for you.”” How do you think you do it?/ what did the teacher say?” never admit to not knowing, it weakens your authority
  17. I thought one of your bookings was harsh (nothing foul on Devlin on the sideline) but didn't see much wrong with the rest. There were a couple of moments in each half where we got away with one then he gave a harsh foul against you lot. We did seem to be on the right end of more 50/50s. But the players seemed to get carried away by the crowd noise and lose the heid, causing more crowd noise and cranial detachment. Maximum delusion was the crowd and the players howling at the injustice of some thug getting booked for flattening Jensen elbow first, when it looked like it could easily have been a red. The ref was shite, yes, but most of your players got booked for losing the plot.

  19. It also has the advantage of converting to something more like a 343 just by pushing up the flanks. Looked quite like that at points tonight. Not suggesting that for the games listed but for if/when we come up against anyone else as beatable as Motherwell were tonight.
  20. Decent performance. Motherwell's first half reminded me of us against Killie. Hopefully the experiment with using the midfield continues.
  21. King Rib is homeopathic. If consumed after several pints too many it combats nausea and restores digestive balance. The same delicate blend of lard, connective tissue, salt and e numbers will cause a sober person to feel as sick as they would after drinking several pints too many. Yin and Yang you see.
  22. It’s lined with concrete and made with sophisticated equipment
  23. Their sophisticated equipment does appear to consist of a monitor and a desktop printer. That’s easy to get in. for the ammo etc, some of these tunnels go to Iran. I’d have put the weapons cache on a lower floor though. Maybe swap it with the hostages? Put them up the top with the exploding missile.
