Blackadder 2, 3 and, especially 4 remain fantastic.

    Red Dwarf also good.

Add Whoops Apocalypse, Staggering stories of Ferdinand de Bargos and Yes, Minister to the list.

However, the negative list IS quite substantial.

Never the twain, Ain't half hot mum, Are you being served?, Hi De Hi etc.

I've never seen Only fools and horses but I would bet all these British comedies from the last century have aged like milk.

No one under the age of about fifty-five can have any real affinity to 80s humour.

I'm younger than that and can remember George & Mildred, The Good Life and Robin's Nest.

  3. Gonna have to beg to differ with the comments above.

Most of the links I've clicked on, on this thread, I've been ok with.  Dunno why this one set me off but I find it particularly upsetting.  Might be the high quality of the video or the guy getting mauled or seeing a dog rolling in its death throes.

You might be right, I will probably get nowhere with this and if it was just me I don't think I would appeal but there are so many people getting tickets. I have not seen this happen before.

Clearly going all out to hammer home the point by the looks of it.

Apologies for my error, you are in League 1 and have earned your right to be there!
But don’t con anyone that there’s no QoS fans who are unhappy. You’ll certainly have been all excited seeing us 2 goals down and looking forward to carrying on your obsession with Falkirk by spamming this forum. Must be so infuriating to see Falkirk fight back just as you squandered your big lead 😊

    Michty me 🤣🤣🤣

How can you possibly make a car behind you be 2 seconds away.

You can make yourself 2 seconds behind the car in front of you but not the car behind. In the wet or bad conditions make it 4 seconds.

By slowing down to the point that the very small gap is 2 seconds.  The closer the car the slower the speed.

Is this the new go to saying when it comes to slagging Coldplay? It used to be "they're depressing as f**k". But since their later stuff is really upbeat I'm assuming the haters needed to change it up? 😎

Martin is a bawbag mind you.

Case of painting by numbers, insert "yellow" joke here.

Boring dull stuff in their first few albums.

Boring anthemic stuff and upbeat stuff in their latter albums.

Quite a remarkable ability to make different genres just utterly bland.

  8. Personally, I work on the 2 second rule of safe driving.  If someone is tailgating, I'll slow down so there's a 2 second gap between us.

If there's an oppertunity for them to get passed, fair enough, if not they can sit at whatever speed that 2 second gap entails for their and my safety.

Doing so definitely* saved a rear end collision/auld wifie getting flattened in Edinburgh as I had to "slam on" the brakes at about 10 mph when she stepped out in front of me.  Gave the previously tailgating c**t behind me that 2 second gap to stop. *(Yes, I know had I being doing 30mph we'd both been past her but still...)

Now we have nothing to play for tomorrow are we going to see the team even more uninterested, or will they actually try and have fun and just ignore Ray? Given 80% of the squad are probably leaving.

Working on the principal they will utterly down tools and take a humping just to piss him off and get him the punt.

Just got a quote for new discs and pads all round for over £1000 from a place I've went to for many years, they are seen as a more specialist place, but their prices have been really rocketing since Covid / cozzy livs (sorry) anyway went onto euro car parts and priced up all the parts I need, plus fitting option for around £530 the fitting cost was like £96 on the website, which you just pay when the work is done apparently, this seems really low and worried they might not be that good, but googling the reviews seem like they are pretty decent (4.8 stars)

Not sure whether to go for it or not or phone about some places. Anyone used the euro car parts and fitting option before? Can't imagine they'd use poor garages since it's selected through their website.

I'm pretty slow a car maintenance but I'd be able to do front pads in an hour with shite tools, double checking my work and having to jack up a corner at a time.

Correct tools and know-how and £96 sounds about right in the non-ripoff market.  Guessing that's £37.50p/h plus vat and 2 hours work.  That's what my garage charges anyway.

In the ripoff market you're possibly well north of £150 per hour plus VAT.

Phone local independents for quotes and see if you can get positive reviews from friends and associates.

ChatGPT keeps asking if I'm a bot today. The fucking nerve.

In case anyone's wondering why sites do this, considering how easy it would be for a bot to detect and click the box, apparently the test is how the mouse pointer is moved. Bots currently find it difficult to mimic how cack-handed and slow humans are.
