  1. Hit the woodwork twice in the second half and so arguably could have snuck it. That said, Cove will feel that they should have made more of their first half dominance. I was really impressed by Cove. Sound technically and with a clear idea of how they want to play. In the first half they played perfect astroturf football - something we’ve never done since the pitch was laid. Will be interesting to see how both teams do this year.
  2. 6 minutes in as well. Forfar defence would be thinking just stay in shape and don’t lose an early one. Then ended up dizzy watching the pinball!
  3. When this fixture was played in 2017, a highland league Cove came down to an Airdrie in disarray. A hostile takeover on the cards and a far more hostile crowd. Airdrie had an emergency loan keeper and a centre half out with a broken wrist. Many Airdrie fans made sound investments with Cove at 8/1 which helped soften the blow of the historic defeat. Only 3 years on, Cove visit Airdrie as an emerging force in the lower leagues and are even money favourites with the bookies. Strange thing is, Airdrie are probably considerably stronger than the last meeting and obviously so are Cove. I’m quite excited for this one and even this early in the season, it’s a game we can’t lose if we want to entertain the idea of being title contenders. Roll on Saturday

  6. At the time I thought Black was a disgrace. Looking back now, he probably had the lowest budget in the league. I feel bad that at times Sandy, Kenny and Jimmy all got dogs abuse when They probably just matched performance in the league with our budget?
  7. Well done to the clubs and leagues for sorting this [emoji1303]
  8. The Airdrie photographer has a go pro behind the goal and the footage from that is a very good view for anyone wishing to cause themselves greater agony (on his personal Facebook and can’t be shared). Gallagher does really well to back heel the ball with his foot furthest away from goal into his path, Thistle defender has slid in (as shown in the still image) and Gallagher goes down trying to get to the ball. Thistle very lucky given how penalties are fished out these days, I can be persuaded either way on it. Doesn’t matter now, it’s too late but was a massive moment in the game as we were really struggling at that point and Carrick is very good from the spot. Brian Graham’s (clear MOTM in my view), attempt to catch the ball hoping the ref would give a soft foul and then feigning of a head injury as Robert was in a very dangerous position angered me far more ironically!!
  9. [emoji849] I think we were trying to piece together why our back 4 looked like they were trying to order drinks at a bar given that the live stream angle didn’t show anything conclusive.
  10. Looking at both photos, the timing was perfect on that goal.
  11. For Thistle’s first goal, could there have been an offside on the next phase (the cross)? Couldn’t tell from the stream, but I thought the cross looked forwards and in the still image the CF looks ahead of everyone. Doesn’t matter goal given and I thought Thistle were good from 1 down until 2-1 then could invite the pressure. Airdrie not able to create a coal, nor even with the CH over head kicking it
  12. Airdrie podcast special ahead of the game. Bit of a half and half number with sections on Airdrie, Thistle and then with Stephen Docherty representing us both (although we know where his allegiances really lie). Thistle fans might want to skip the first 25 mins which is Airdrie up until now this season, you should enjoy the rest and big thanks to Life long Jag John Kane for coming on [emoji1303]

  14. Latest episode of the podcast up as an Airdrie v Thistle special. Andrew Duffy and Alan Porteous on part 1 for us, Stephen Docherty talking about being an ex Diamond and Jag in part 2 and John Kane as a life long Jag in part 3
  15. Fair play to Thistle for keeping it to a tenner [emoji1303]
  16. Merde! Mrs McMeechan at Airdrie Academy will be disappointed in me [emoji17]
  17. Hi all Announcer extraordinaire Craig G Telfer was good enough to come back on the Airdrie podcast ahead of our trip to Stenhousemuir on Tuesday night. He tells us what he thinks of the Warriors prospects for the coming season, why he’s not convinced Thomas Robert has the Je ne sais pas to make it in Scotland, what happened to Chris O’Neil and what we can expect when A View From the Terrace comes back for its third series on Friday night Link below if anyone wishes to listen and may the best team win on Tuesday [emoji1303]
  18. A view from the Terrace’s Craig G Telfer was good enough to come back on the podcast ahead of Airdrie’s trip to Stenhousemuir on Tuesday night. He tells us what he thinks of the Warriors prospects for the coming season, why he’s not convinced Thomas Robert has the Je ne sais quoi to make it in Scotland, what happened to Chris O’Neil and what we can expect when A View From the Terrace comes back for its third series on Friday night
  19. They’ve been the topic of a bit of discussion on various outlets, now hear their side of what it’s like to commentate on Diamonds TV. 2 very passionate Airdrie fans prepared to volunteer and who are doing a great job [emoji1303][emoji815]️ Link to Chris Mitchell fundraiser is https://gf.me/u/yp7nn6
  20. I work with Jamie’s cousin. He’s been a used sub a fair few times at Hibs so might just be an injury or suspension away from a start. Can’t see him playing League 1 again
  21. Brian on comms names A View From The Terrace as his favourite TV programme. Compliments all round!
  22. Third kit an off the peg number which split the support a bit, but the yellow is a nice nod to Holemasters (it being their background colour) who have sponsored Airdrie for so long that we’re surprised when others point out the innuendo!
  23. Already on here but probably the best image to see them both in full.
  24. Would be good if it was old Skool and either Rush Goalie, world Cuppie or By and In!!
