I didn't post last night but I also had a few Lidl specials along with some Jura French Oak.
Hare of the Dog from Hurly Burly in Musselburgh was so-so but I really liked Jar Nektar from Hybrid in Grangemouth and 71's Frontal Skie Baltic Porter.
This morning I'm drinking lots and lots of water.1 -
Cheers! I wondered if I had it the wrong way round. German's not my strong point.

Yeah, still fairly bang on in the wee cans although tonight I preferred my can of Tyskie to follow. A Beer 52 bottle of Buro Pils from German brewer Naturtrub is spot on also.Used to be my staple in the 500 ml bottles. Ok in cans then?1 -
First drink in a good while. Pilsner Urquell going down a treat.

He wasn't but he'd have needed to have taken underwhelming to a new level to not be displacing John Reilly from that team.We seem to share good strikers but not so much in midfield, though I had assumed Ciftci was underwhelming with you.
I was a big fan of Dykstra but I don't think anyone could argue against Billy Thomson having achieved more in his career. Ally Maxwell would also be a good option.

We had Esteban Casagolda whose agent managed to create a myth around him before he actually turned out to be all long hair, fancy touches in the warm-up and, in reality, really pish.

A piece on Tommy Coyne and also managing to shoehorn in Marv's goal against Bell. Well played.

Sounds good but what does TYB mean forthosenotup on theirtext speech? I tried googling it and it suggested Take Your Bitch or Tickle Your Balls which I assume weren't what you intended [emoji1]

That's how to cheat on Strava segments.

I've been in Argyll the last few days so had a few rides on some off-road and forestry tracks on my ancient and clunky mountain bike rather than my usual road bike rides. Plenty of climbing, completely different pace and enjoying the change.

A bottle of Highlander from Fyne Ales followed by a few nondescript Beer 52 cans that I can't be arsed listing. Oh, and some wonderful Lidl Ben Bracken Islay 16yo to wash them down.

A bit earlier but we also had John Sullivan regularly announced in our team on the radio when it should have been John Philliben. There was a similar issue with McGarry, every week it was reported that there was one change with McGarry coming in.
The PA had his name wrong so when reporters compared the team list to last week’s PA list his name wasn’t on it.0 -
Snap - I had one of those as well tonight! And an Avalanche last night. I'm up at Loch Fyne for a few days after all.

I'm a driver and a cyclist and there are unfortunately plenty of cyclists that give the rest of us a bad name. I put delivery cyclists in a different category from all other cyclists and hope everyone else does also.

Not the best idea in the world if you're going in the Queen Street direction!Just get off at the next station
Anyway, I give you 'Strathaven' which I remember Mark Radcliffe regularly pronouncing as it's spelled on the radio before I realised where he meant0 -
I was in a pub yesterday that sold West's German Pale Ale. Never had it before but thought it was wonderful.
My opinion might be skewed however as I've not been drinking recently and this was the first beer I could actually taste after a bout of covid. I could live with the cold I had but the lack of taste was a complete bugger.0 -
I've been impressed by the new artwork going up outside Firhill. Forgive my lack of knowledge of older Thistle players but, going by the sign, I assume his name's McParland.

It looks like a Juniors ground - what division is that in? Although the police that came on very much look like top division.

To be fair to the Vatican, it's primary function isn't to be a tourist attraction. As much as London is a fantastic place with endless amounts to do it’d maybe just scrape into my top 5. In no particular order:
NYC.
Toronto.
Berlin.
London.
Rome……
The latter brings me to my point. The Vatican is the peak of overrated shite attractions IMO. An interesting first 10 minutes or so was had then it just became a load of utterly boring or just plain disturbing tapestries followed by more tedious pish whilst crammed into room after room and corridor after corridor with far too many people in the one place.1 -
Someone decided 9am would be a good time for a Teams meeting tomorrow morning. Wouldn't it be terrible if it was still not working by then?

For those who eere at the game, how did Woolery do? Are we likely to see Roberts come in after the break?

I've only watched half of the episodes so probably shouldn't be reading these comments but, considering the programme name and the start of the first episode, I always expected the last game to be the squid game.

First league game we've not scored this season. BBC stats show us having 18 shots to Hearts' 10 and 7 on target to their 5! We obviously need to get back to having it the other way round.

Yeah, I had this switched off but it has suddenly started appearing on my posts and I can't see a way in the settings to turn it off. Anyone got any suggestions?

A lot of new developments have it in the title deeds that you can't use the property as business premises although I don't understand how that works for someone using their house as a home office. I assume it's intended to stop people using their property as something like a builder's yard or, in this case, kennels which are out of place in a residential setting.
