I would have loved to have gone through the usual ticket scramble shenanigans that comes with this sort of game and then made a day of it but it's not to be. Ppv being offered at £12 though.

A few drinks of this tonight. Unfortunately I noticed the thumb hole in the bottom means there's a lot less left than I thought. Gorgeous stuff.

I was really looking forward to this from the description but was surprisingly tasteless. Certainly wasn't getting the orange peel and coriander.

A bottle of Vedett IPA. Quite nice but more of what I would consider a Belgian Abbey beer than an IPA. Maybe slightly in-between.

An unusual beer from Bavaria, with the bouquet of a smoked cheese or sausage. Never had anything like this before, very pleasant, didn't notice the smoked effect on tasting, but there is a pleasant smouldering afterthought of something that's suffered incineration.

That looks interesting. Where did you find that?

This Belgian IPA from Brouwerij Lekker is lovely stuff. A bit of sweet fruityness- very drinkable.

That's more like it. A bottle of Steen Brugge. Lovely blond beer with a wee bit more spice than others I've tasted.

Decided to give Beer 52 a go again for the Belgian box and it arrived yesterday. First one, this Pilsner from Avans. Nice enough but nothing special.

A few different beers and finished off an Old Pulteney 12yo tonight. Loving the Hopo and a nice smooth peppery taste to the Midnight Sun.

Really enjoyed that tonight, particularly the first 10 minutes or so before the first segment. Quite enjoyed the LMW but I'm sure I've heard it before somewhere.

My wife won't even entertain a question/conversation about toilet habits/behaviour so I darent ask, however I can only assume that given the quite fucking staggering rate we go through toilet roll, women don't run with the "2 sheets, folded" technique, and have some other "grab the roll and wrap it round your hand 18 times" style.

We've not talked about it in detail obviously but I think you're right. Unfortunately my wife seems to have taught our daughter the same technique - another bulk-buy required from Costco.

Matthew's oriental supermarket in Dundee.
I believe there's also one in Glasgow.
They're both really nice. Clean, crisp, refreshing lagers 

I found out recently Matthew runs it with his sister Amy. Always assumed it was a Glasgow only business until reading on here they have several branches.

Anyway, a bit of an American night for me from my local Asda. Boston, San Francisco and 2 from California. All nice but particularly liked the Sierra Nevada.
