  1. Provided clubs haven’t given these players a signing on fee or paid for them, in my opinion I would be absolutely shocked if the clubs don’t release them!
  2. Yes they will be free to sign for any other club. Talbot Pollok Kilbirnie Whittletts Kilysth I believe anyway, but clubs have until Sunday to confirm.
  3. How dare they want to get the game going again
  4. Good point. I would imagine there is still a high % of players who would play for free to get the game going!
  5. Seems to be a general theme of desperation to “call the season”. The world has changed, and for anything to run safety and effectively it has to change too. It requires someone with a bit of nouse to move this forward. I for one are desperate to get the game back, yes there is going to be changes. Yes it’s not going to be “the way it was” and yes some things are going to be more difficult but surely in the hierarchy of the league someone can get it going again!
  6. I think its more about the length of time you have these interactions on the park.... very short. Marking shouldnt be much of an issue in junior football!!
  7. Have checked other threads but can’t seem to see anything. Has it been confirmed what cup competitions there will be this season? Who will be involved, what is the format etc? Thanks
  8. Well I am pretty sure alot of people are speaking out because it is Darvel, had it been another less profile team would there be so much fuss...... No chance!!
  9. My view point...... If Darvel hadnt been so in your face in social media and on here would they have been 'grassed up' - No, I dont think so. Also, If fans from other clubs werent so jealous of Darvel and the money they have been spending would they of got such a hard time for it- No, I dont think so. Right, am away to get off my fence now.....
  10. It’s a shame for the likes of Blantrye and Cumbernauld who fought hard for promotion are really up against it and will more than likely come straight back down. Always enjoyed a trip to Cumbernauld, great little ground.
  11. Which in my opinion would 100% happen. There is evidence there that some clubs attendances fluctuate depending where Celtic/Rangers are that day. I wonder what the capacity in most juniors grounds would be with social distancing in place? Obviously some are different based on the structure of the ground, Arthurlie, Cumbernauld, etc but generally speaking if 3/4 sides are available I think you would be ok and have capacity for 600/700... would that then open the doors for all ticket? First come first serve?
  12. Either way I have a feeling the bottom of the table is going to be more interesting viewing than the top this season!!
  13. Referencing a “freak own goal” is clutching at straws. Am sure every team can reflect on injuries, suspensions, own goals and missed chances etc. Glencairn had the second lowest PPG and therefore I would of expected that trend to follow and them to finish second bottom. I am sure Troon and Benburb would of been looking down the table and thinking there is a potential 9 points when they played Glencairn too? Anyway, not having a dig just stating a fact, I admire how you defend your club with so much detail.
  14. Not surprised with this one bit to be honest. Not as sharp as he once was.
  15. I don't think there was a final league table. Only the champions were declared. Think it’s that.
  16. But the final league table has Glencairn sitting second bottom? Anyway its just my predictions, I tend to get them wildly wrong each year!
  17. Talbot Champions, Pollok/Darvel battling for 2nd place. Back to back bottom finishes for Rob Roy and Glencairn with Blantyre, Cumbernauld and Rossvale also going down. Just my thoughts!
  18. I think you being a bit harsh on Sheridan, I saw him a few times last season and didn't look his age..
  19. I personally think all 3 will be VERY comfortable in the conference. Experience is a big thing and expect them to be very hard to beat already next season with just these 3 signings.
  20. Have to agree with that point. If anything it gives clubs such as Renfrew, St Rochs, Arthurlie, Kilsyth, etc a real chance for something to play for, on the other structure I personally dont think they would finish above Talbot, Glenafton, Pollok etc over the course of a season. I would like to see 3 going straight up and then a play off between the runners up and 15th, 16th, 17th placed teams of the top league. Ie, Straight up - Arthurlie (Winners of A) Renfrew (Winners of B) St Cadocs (Winner of C) 2 leg play off Rob roy v St Rochs(runner up) Troon v Kilsyth (runner up) Glencairn v Gartcairn (runner up)
  21. Is there any word on when the conferences are going to be decided? Heard from a semi reliable sometimes source they have been finalised just ready to be communicated?
  22. 100% Agree, can there be a thread created for bitching? As I dont have a particular preference on what team goes in what league if the league standing were good enough to awards leagues on then I think they should be good enough to reshape the new league, Rob Roy, Troon and Glencairn down and Darvel, Blantrye and Cumbernauld up?
