  1. Any news on Schalk or Boyce, I know it was Boyd's doo the other night, just checking if anyone heard anything?
  2. Not sure why you are asking. You're the one who claims to know about players wages so why don't you explain the workings of this contract to us?
  3. I'm impressed with this signing. Burke and Gardyne as our wide players should provide some good ammunition for Boyce, Schalk and Curran.
  4. The Sherrif could be right, administration in weeks maybe! Or we could always just wait for a coosil handout, apparently they're quite good like that eh sophia
  5. Liam Boyce: Player of the month award for Ross County striker http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37391722 Ross County striker Liam Boyce is the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership player of the month for August. The Northern Ireland international scored five goals in four league matches last month. The 25-year-old, overlooked for Euro 2016, scored a hat-trick in the derby win at Inverness and a double against Kilmarnock. The in-form forward was also on target last week in the 1-1 draw at home to Motherwell.
  6. Ryan Dow deal confirmed, end of the season. McIntyre saying he's been with the club for the last three weeks.
  7. As yoda says he started really well the opening ten or twelve weeks he was a revelation, easily our best new signing over that period. Then something strange happened, he was dropped/rested for a cup game not sure why, maybe he had a knock or just to give some of the back ups a game but when he came back it seemed his confidence was shot, his decision making became questionable and it became an obvious problem for him and the defence as a whole and it just spiraled from there imo. Yes there is a good strong centre half in there but he needs to be confident and decisive in what he does.
  8. I haven't but the a guy i work beside has just lost his licence with totting up points through the effing things. We live up here at the side of the A9, we've become accustomed to using our average speed counter to keep track. The cameras aren't on all the time but there's no way of knowing!
  9. And what's the craic with 12 noon kick offs at Hampden for the County and ICT when we pump out celtic in cup semi finals? The first trains don't even arrive until half time
  10. I'm thinking it's make or break for McShane, even with this small squad it's hard to see where he's going to fit in?
  11. Not bad though, we're not carrying dead weight like many squads are. The opertunity is there for Dingwall Franks and maybe McLaughlin to have a decent run in the team in the wide midfield position. My concern is if anything were to happen to Gardyne or Woods as I see them as our main creative force.
  12. I heard that we were a goal down to Killie, how did it end?
  13. I thought he could be one that we'd be interested in. Tbh i've not been impressed whenever i've seen him play but i trust jim and billy's judgement if they want to go for him. There's been speculation for weeks now about GMS and more recently Armstrong, although unlikely I much rather either of these to Liam Henderson.
  14. Do you mean, that are going to sign for us? If that's what you mean then yeah you're probably right but it would be nice if in the unlikely event if it were to happen.
  15. Yeah, I heard about Armstrong too, I'd be surprised if they let him go as I rate him as a very good player, here's hoping though.
  16. I don't think being cup tied for European football will put McIntyre off tbh
  17. GMS and his buddy too. GMS is still recovering from a small op so isn't quite match fit so I'm told so that's why we're happy to wait atm.
  18. Yes, and also that he was somewhat reluctant to let Ricky go but as in last week he needed him to play as a wide midfielder and basically he would rather someone who he sees as better as a wide midfielder, here's hoping he gets who he wants A few intriguing rumours of players being linked mentioned at Viccy Park yesterday, exciting times
  19. Yeah we heard that too, it got a raised eyebrow from me as i thought i'd obviously misheard him.
  20. Club directors invest in the club, it's a more common occurrence than say a local government authority "investing" in a mongrel football team but that sometimes happens too.
  21. Ross County debt free for the first time in 22 years, below article taken from today's P&J. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/ross-county/998602/debt-free-county-in-control/? Ross County are debt-free for the first time in 22 years of senior football. Chairman Roy MacGregor has started to put the foundations in place for his eventual successor to inherit, but has no intention of handing over the reins in the near future. The Staggies’ latest accounts, covering the year ending June 2015, showed County turned around a £70,701 loss into a pre-tax profit of £21,914 and MacGregor confirmed the Dingwall club has since cleared all its debt. The 63-year-old is in his second spell as chairman after replacing Dave Siegel in 2010, but has been involved at board level since the club stepped up from the Highland League in 1994. MacGregor intends to be around for several years yet, after enjoying the club’s first major silverware success last season when Jim McIntyre’s team lifted the League Cup with a 2-1 win against Hibernian The chairman said: “We’ve spent about £8million here over the years. Some we got grant aid for, but we had some debt with the bank. That’s gone. The club has no debt at all. “That is a bit of a milestone in the 22-year journey – the first time we’ve been debt-free. We’ve come from the era when the old green stand was here, grass banks. We feel we’ve now completed what we set out to do. “That was a bit of a pressure coming off me now the debt is gone. “I intend to be about for a while yet though. I still enjoy it. I’m still putting something back, but my boys probably won’t do it again, so somewhere along the line there has to be some succession planning.” MacGregor believes the infrastructure at Victoria Park leaves the club in a strong position for his successor to take on. He added: “We hope to put more pitches on the training ground and create a bigger environment for the football. “By and large though, the infrastructure for whoever runs this club in the future is here now. The club is still subsidised, but whoever follows me will do whatever they feel is right. “They will have an infrastructure here that will do for the next 25 years, so they don’t have to worry about this part. “I’ve done what I said I would do in trying to create the environment for football to be played, for youngsters to get the opportunity and to bed ourselves in with our community, and I feel comfortable it will be sustainable because there is no debt. It doesn’t mean the football budget will always be what it is now, but there will never have to be more capital investment.”
  22. I know losing any match is disappointing but otb was in full melt down mode at halftime yesterday, actually suggesting that McIntyre should be sacked!
