  1. I'll give Inverness the benefit of the doubt in the fact they've played about twice since the new year so are going to be rusty, Saturday will give us a more definitive answer.... On another note with Inverness, this 'virtual tickets sale' which has resulted in 9,000+ tickets being sold for Hearts game, i think we should give it a try for a game to see how it would go, thoughts?
  2. It's hardly negativity, it's more the facts that are laid in front of us, we've played exactly half our games this season and we're 5th which is OK but only 3 points off 9th. With a possible 17 points from 42 points which is hardly brilliant. On paper i'd say we have the 2nd/3rd joint best squad in the division IMO. certainly pretty equal with Dunferlmine/Dundee/Raith, if not having the edge on them in certain aspects of the pitch. As you say if the January additions improve us in the second half of the season then all fine and well, however that's not a guarentee. Anderson and Cameron have all of a sudden started scoring goals at their new loanee clubs which just proves not every signing is going to be a success. If we were to get play offs this season i'd say "great season". If we were to get 5th/6th i'd say "meh, could have been better but not the end of the world" If we get 7th/8th i'll say "very dissapointing with squad we had for the season and the blame lays with Kerr for that" Hope we get play offs but think 5th will be best, too inconsistent IMO and part of me will be disappointed with 5th however would look at the bigger picture of knowing we want to establish ourselves in the Championship and 5th isn't the worst place to finish to go about doing that.
  3. Which Mark Kerr had absolute zero clue how to get the best out of, he thought sitting him upfront himself and hoofing the ball up to him was the trick......
  4. They were there for the taking against us last week, in the first half especially. Unfortunately we didn't have a good enough performance in the final third to question their defence more. Mebude looks a player for Queens, holds us brilliantly for a wee guy.
  5. Another dodgy penalty involving Hearts.... Karma is a bitch ya Jambo wankers
  6. Don't want to come on here sounding like a w**k however a comparison between Raith and Alloa, who both have artificial surfaces, of trying to clear the snow is quite different....
  7. Yes because he's not upfront isolated on his own, feeding off hoof balls which are ending up about 10 yards either side of where he was positioned. Think with a 3 of Walsh/Smith/McCowan behind him we might have got a bit more out of him. However the fundamental issue for me is Kerr seems hellbent on playing 1 upfront on his own, which seems to be "modern" way to play football compared to the old fashioned 4/4/2. In our last two games with Wright upfront on his own i've already seen instances, Hearts game especially, where he held up the ball well and the nearest person to lay if off to was nowhere to be seen. Think Kerr should try Smith upfront with Wright to do a similar role which Moffatt did alongside Shankland. Would be intrigued to know how many goals we scored in McCall's last 30 games compared to Kerrs first 30. I'd expect the difference to be quite staggering...
  8. Hope this is on, looking forward to it, should be a good game with two teams who like to play it on the deck. I'd hope Raith would even try to clear a strip to see what the astro is like underneath, depends if the astro was covered before snowfall. Ultimate fate of the game may be decided if there's not enough pitchside space for the mounds of snow, was the major issue with being unable to clear Livingston astro apparently.
  9. If he's to stay another body coming onto the management team is a must IMO. McCall had 2 coaches with Scally and Stewart so i don't see why Kerr has only got McCardle.
  10. South Ayrshire basically the only corner of Scotland with no snow lol
  11. Would expect the thaw will result in your pitch being a waterlogged mudbath for the forseable.... Play it at Tannadice IMO
  12. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55939972 In today's random news Bitcoin has reached a record high price today. Unsure if that has any impact on our association with Bitcoin.....
  13. The quality in this league is absolutely rank rotten when you consider we're 3 points off 4th and also 3 points off 9th. The two teams in the league who deserve the most recognition are the two part timers Arbroath and Alloa for the fact they're keeping up with and matching the supposed "superior" full time teams
  14. Thought we were okay tonight, main dissapointment was creativity in final third, Wright did well getting about along with Smith, McCowan looked good first half but faded second half and Walsh on the whole i thought was quite quiet, probably poorest out of front 4 IMO. Looks like were eventually seeing Murdoch and Chalmers playing on the same wavelength in the middle of the park, thought Murdoch was impressive, same as last week, getting closer to back to his old self IMO. Defence looks sorted apart from RB, Miller is solid enough but offers little in attack especially with crossing, him up against Kai Kennedy next weekend gives me the fear a bit, hope we can get Houston back in there and firing on all cylinders. Presuming Dundee game doesn't happen Raith is a good test of where we are and biggie in terms of the table with a slight top/bottom half split appearing. All in all i'm hopeful for end of season run but we need to string a good few results together, been too stop/start so far.
  15. Nah BBC pundits went over it and it hit Kingsley's chest, would have been some laugh if he'd given it and wouldn't have been a surprise tbh.....
  16. Here we go war of words has begun. Kerr just gone off one saying Neilson influencing decisions
  17. Hearts will win the league because on nights like tonight when they're far from their best they still manage to shitfest a 1-0 victory. Any other teams in the league end up playing a dour 0-0 draw in that scenario which helps nobody in league standings
  18. Would have been a deserving 0-0 draw IMO Neither team was great, we were poor in final third lacking creativity. Referee was the most influencal man on the pitch tonight unfortunately....
