  1. I think more so with Sanders. I think he was a signing that Brown has actively made to improve the defence. Whilst we have improved a bit we still switch off and make unnecessary errors. I think Clarke was more of a reactionary signing based on whatever has happened with Albinson. I think Brown had planned to run with him for the rest of the season but the injury to Mutch and Albinsons form nosediving made him act. I trust Brown if he decides to keep Sanders but I think we need someone different as our first choice goalie.
  2. I think there’s a possibility that Sanders could be here next season.
  3. We haven’t had a lot of penalties this season so there’s likely a bit of the unknown as to who’s actually reliable from the spot. Sure it started off with Dipo last season then Dempsey went on a pretty successful run of taking them, then for whatever reason Maguire was allowed the most important of them all and then it went back to Dempsey. Based on his record last season I’m surprised Dempsey isn’t under consideration.
  4. I think he’s very frustrating and could be doing a lot more. I think he’s a good player at this level but that’s about it. My main gripes with him come from his decision making and positioning. He has a strange habit of trying to get into the box when if he just stayed wide he’d create a whole lot more opportunities for our other forwards. I think he suffered with Bullen giving him free rein as ultimately he isn’t good enough to just be let loose and do what he wants. And whatever Brown is telling him to do, he isn’t doing it well enough. I would happily keep him next season but I’m not breaking the bank for him. If he was able to accept a deal that fits into our structure then I’d be happy with him permanently but I have the fear we get drawn into prolonged negotiations for a month, miss out on other players and he ends up going to a Partick Thistle or a Raith regardless. Make him a good offer, if he delays for too long then move on.
  5. Eh? An agenda against a player because I didn’t think he did much when he came on? Tap in aside of course. I make no apologies for not buying into the hype around him. I think he massively flatters to deceive and isn’t worth moving mountains to get him on a permanent deal.
  6. Are Raith a completely one man team who are about to have a dreadful summer where they miss out on all their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice targets?
  7. Willoughby looks like a natural finisher based on that penalty and the goals he scored against Partick. I’d keep him in the team for now as I think he’ll get one or two more before the season is out.
  8. I think the fact that so many folk were trying to get the ball off Willoughby tells me that Dowds was supposed to be on penalties. Musonda even said something to Willoughby before he took it. It’s not a good look but if Willoughby had missed you can guarantee he’d have been subbed at half time and wouldn’t have been seen again.
  9. Did he? It’s hard to tell from the SRE but I thought he was pretty quiet albeit I think both teams were happy for the game to be over. If McGeady actually bothered his arse he could’ve played Chalmers in a couple of times.
  10. How has Connor Teale been for Arbroath? Noticed Brown chatting to him at full time then found out he’s on loan from Fleetwood. His contract down there is up in the summer so might end up being a target for ourselves.
  11. He’ll have been dropped for being absolutely gash. Amartey deserves a start and Murphy is our best player.
  12. From what I’ve heard he isn’t popular at all in the dressing room. Key players at Livi can’t be arsed with him as his team talks seem to solely consist of screaming at the players. Thats fine if you’re trying to get a reaction but doing it constantly means it’ll lose its effectiveness.
  13. I’d be genuinely interested if we see a Championship team promoted from the playoffs in the next five years. I still think if it was ever going to happen it would’ve happened last season with Thistle. They may have finished fourth but unlike everyone else they went in with good momentum and basically a fully fit squad to chose from. I actually think Raith might benefit from the week off you get for finishing second but I think Murray’s main issue is he overthinks and tinkers with the team too much. I really don’t think the signings of Rudden or Turner (whilst strong on paper) were necessarily needed. Thistle aren’t nearly as strong as last season and their defence is woeful. I think it’s pretty even between them and Airdrie as to who will win over two legs. If Thistle dropped to fourth and went out at the first hurdle I think Doolan will be under pressure ahead of next season. Airdrie are well worthy of a top four finish but I think they’ll get turned over by whoever they’d face from the Premiership. If they can hold onto what they have and add a bit more Championship experience then they can go again but I’d be a bit surprised if teams aren’t looking at McCabe.
  14. Think how we feel having lost thrice to them. Lee Bullen must stand trial for international war crimes.
  15. I’m convinced having zero fans helped him as well. He got away with murder for months.
  16. We lack a natural goalscorer. Dowds is good but he doesn’t do scrappy goals like that. I’d like to see Willoughby back involved.
  17. Wage thief of the highest order. He has played in two of the worst Ayr teams of the last ten years. How he survived the cull after the Kerr season was mental.
