  13. Just had a look at Doris' stats in his first spell with Arbroath from 2009-13. He scored 6, 16, 21 and 13. Not too bad at all. Injury taken its toll over last three seasons though. If he stays fit, there's no reason why he can't hit double figures.

  15. Freelance journalist reports in tomorrow's Courier: Arbroath’s pursuit of Queen’s Park’s top goalscorer Paul Woods has ended in disappointment with him signing on again with the Spiders. The 29-year-old scored 14 times last season as the Hampden side secured promotion to League One via the play-offs and Arbroath boss Dick Campbell was in hot pursuit of the former East Kilbride Juniors, Lanark United and Petershill player. Woods has however turned down the advances of the Lichties and has re-signed with MacPherson saying: “It was terrific news to come back to. "I knew that we had a chance but that there was also strong interest from Arbroath, so to get everything organised is terrific.â€
